  • Works very well

We’ve had our Airwave Plus over a year now and have had no problems. We originally had high radon levels (indicated on our Airwave) but after putting in a mitigation system we are averaging .4 pCi now. It’s comforting to have something continuously tracking the air quality.
  • Great start to tracking my home’s air

I’ve had the app running for the past week or so and already I find myself viewing it quite a bit! It’s not bad but a few things that would make this software much better:

    - A widget. Tracking air quality would be amazing to do from my Home Screen, Lock Screen, or even my Apple Watch.
    - Better graphs. While you can scrub historical data, the UI doesn’t tell you anything about the time of the data and the current data is so close to the edge of the screen that you can’t even understand the current trend. Improve the usability and info here!
    - HomeKit compatibility. My dream would be that my home can react to things like poor air quality. This wound be outstanding.

  • It’s almost there..

Concept is great - I’ve been using this system to track VOCs and temperature for my 3D printer farm. The major thing I’d really love to see that would make this 5 stars are better charts and better analysis tools. The data is being collected, but parsing thru it is really hard.
  • Waste of money, not useful

This thing is absolute garbage. I wanted to test for VOCs in my home but guess what.. you have to wait an ENTIRE WEEK before it will tell you what the VOC levels are?? Great, thanks, I’ll spend a week getting lung damage before this device will let me know about it.

At least I can check the temperature and humidity, right? Nope, it will only tell you the averages over the last 48 hours. Why would I care about that? I want to know the humidity and temperature (and VOC presence for that matter) in my home right now. The two day average is completely useless. Presumably to get this average, it is measuring all the time, so why can’t I see the information in real time?? Do yourself a favor and don’t even think about buying one of these, there are way, way, better on the market.

  • No hourly radon option?

I have the EcoCube which updates my it’s led display every ten minutes, and app updates every hour. (Nice in my basement where if I’m going to spend time down there, I can just crack a window and know when it’s clear.) The only downfall was IFTTT compatibility. Air things in the only manufacturer that supports that. Cool. Bought it, only to be severely disappointed that it only provides a 24 hour average, updated every hour. I wanted to use a high hourly reading to trigger exhaust fans once reaching 2.7 pci, then turn them off. No chance with this product - as they would be on for hours, it not a full day. Why don’t you guys give customers an option to change that setting? I understand the 24 hour average is a good wholistic overview, but it really doesn’t give the customer a fast way to show how quickly they can mitigate the information, and makes IFTTT integration far less useful. :/

  • HEPA filters give false readings

I like it and I don’t like it. I have 3 minis and two Wave Plus’s and the hub. Quite a investment. One of the things I noticed was that it gives false readings or the radon levels increased while using a powerful HEPA filter. After I read online that HEPA filters can and dehumidifiers can give false readings. I turned both off and readings dropped significantly. I would take the extra time to allow proper calibration. I do like the products especially when you don’t rely on Wi-Fi to pollute my network. This company has great potential. Just need to work on production costs and maybe add carbon monoxide features.

  • Stopped syncing

Updated app and device firmware and stopped syncing after I hadn’t synced for many months. Lost a year of data collection when I was forced to unpair the device and set it up all over again. Needed the old data to track Radon over time under different weather circumstances to determine if the repairs I made to my crawl space was remediating or not. Very unhappy.

  • Too expensive for what it does

No WiFi support so you have to be home and within range of the devices to get readings, no notifications so you have to manually open the app, wait for it to sync and then see how air quality levels are.

Pretty useless and inconvenient as a tool to warn you if air quality is low. I regret buying two of these expensive devices.

  • Lost all data history

App required a firmware update to address a battery drain issue (indeed, I had to install new batteries to do the upgrade), now all my history in the app is missing. [Correction: It appears data is missing during period batteries were dead only]
  • No reason to track browsing history.

I don’t like that the app tracks browsing history. I may uninstall which is a bummer! Also, second the fact the graph runs up to the edge of the screen and doesn’t report the time on the graph data point. Other than that is seems to work pretty well. I have determined 4000 VOCs in my house where the garage only has 43 VOCs 😳. Something is wrong with this rental. Need to fix it. This unit will give me the data to take action.
