Actual time in charts
Good application over all. 👍 I’m an enthusiastic aquarist and this app give so much control over my planted tank lights. However it would be great if it could show a vertical line on the charts indicating the actual time, that way would be better to verify the active light setting at any specific moment. Thanks!

Love the light - the app not so much
I have been able to use the app to get two lights set up the way I want, but it really is inexcusable to provide an Export settings functionality without making it obvious how to import settings! From reading forums online, I eventually determined that one imports a saved profile via Export! Who signed off on that idea? Anyway, Fluval you make excellent hardware, but your software group needs to catch up!

Plant spectrum
The light is quite good the issues are the app.
It would be good if you could set a daily timer so each day could be different.
It would also be good if there were more presets

Timing
It’s impossible to get times on the hour, why do you have to slide the markers and not just click and input a time?

Please send your detailed issue to FluvalSmart@FluvalAquatics.com we will provide support.
Great app!
Works well and the setting stuff is very easy I just wish we had more points we could add through the day schedule
Could be better
I like not having to buy a timer for my light. I also like the thunderstorm setting but it would be nice to add a random storm setting. It seems like the auto setting is missing a pre-dawn setting prior to sunrise. It also seems like a few of the presets are wrong, ie the moon settings. The icons could be clearer or maybe have a text description. Good app overall though.

Such a disappointment!
The app is terrible therefor the product is terrible. It’s 2021 and you can’t make a user friendly app for a single light. I’m sorry I’ve put off writing this app for sometime hoping an update would solve, but guess what there is an update and it won’t install. I followed the trouble shooting suggestions four times and now the app is stuck in “auto” mode and won’t cycle to manual etc and guess what…. the auto function doesn’t work while the app is stuck in it. This app by definition is counterintuitive!!! Don’t waste your money on this product if you do like I do buy a timer and try get some use out of it.

Needs a revamp.
I consider this app to be barely functional. The UI is confusing and difficult to use (“Export” is used to signify the program you are loading…this is horrendous. Should be “Load” or “Import” or “Open”). Setting Pro schedule times is incredibly finicky, and if you set on/off times close together, it’s almost impossible to select which time slot you’re working with because the clock icons overlap. Maybe there should be a way to enter the program times manually into a grid like a spreadsheet. Needs to be a way to duplicate intensities into other time slots rather than entering them over and over again. Also, lately the app has been unreliable when saving programs and resets the intensities to a prior state after I’ve saved and re-“export” the program later

Add on & off timer on auto
Light is the brightest and best there is but no remote only app access.
The app doesn’t have an option for just plain and simple ON & OFF under auto mode! I’d like to be able to set a time on and off like my aqueon light with a remote control.
To the makers please change this on the app. You’ll have MANY happy customers. It’s the main complaint.

FluvalSmart Bluetooth
I’ve had my FluvalSmart app for the past year with no issues. Recently I upgraded to version 1.1.7 and suddenly my Bluetooth won’t connect.
After sending multiple emails, and pictures of the light, I get this response “ We see a significant issue with humidity penetration of the light unit. The unit will need to be replaced…”
So my question, if humidity is the issue, why did version 1.1.6 work fine? If Humidity causes Bluetooth Failure, why does the company continue to put Bluetooth on their lights? After all reasonable people should expect a certain degree of humidity in an enclosed aquarium!
