Good app but could use some updates. More scheduling options are needed for the timer.
App isn't the best
Just got the light yesterday and was really excited about it. From all the reviews everyone said it was a fantastic product. The light itself is amazing. I set up an auto preset and when I woke up this morning my light hadn't turned off light the preset. I also tried previewing my auto preset for the 24 cycle and when it previewed it didn't cycle through each setting. I had to go into one of the 3 pre-loaded auto modes, customize them and then it worked properly. Probably just a user error on my part and not testing it enough to begin with.
The other issue I'd love to see fixed in a future update is allowing us to adjust the day cycle time and night cycle time. I think it would be great to allow split photo periods without the use of a regular timer.
Other than that i'm pumped to see how it grows my plants. They are low to moderate light so it should be good.

Needs more options
I use a lot of different smart apps for controlling my home and they all let me customize so many settings. This app lacks so many options. I would like to be able to setup as many schedules as I want and not be limited to day and night. I would like to change how the transition looks. I would also like to be able to control the individual leds so I can have one side on color and the other side another. Disappointed to spend so much money on a nice light but not able to control it properly.

Light is great App is terrible
The light itself is just that a light.... nothing special about it. The app although is terrible. The range is bad, I have to be standing right next to the light for the app to connect. When choosing a light color it often will not work causing me to close the app and restart. The auto setting is confusing at first and does not seem to follow the settings I chose. Overall for a high end light this app should be much better. With the amount of money spent on the light I was very disappointed. I will be returning this product and purchasing a different brand.

Great light, app needs more control
Using with the plant 3.0 nano. Love the light! This app needs some work for more functionality, though. Fluval- please give us more control! So disappointed that I can’t set sunrise and sunset colors, and that there isn’t an option to have moonlights on for a short period for fun and then a completely dark photo period. It would also be great to integrate an optional siesta period (with ramp up/down of course). Many of us like to split our light cycle to morning/night for viewing pleasure when we are home! Please make some updates!

Needs to be more customizable
The light is really nice and the app is ok. I would like to be able to run the lights off completely in the middle of the day and have them come back on later that same day. I want to do this to so that I can enjoy seeing my fish when I am home and awake without growing excess algae. Taking a midday siesta may also boost CO2 levels and increase plant growth. It would also be helpful to have the night light shut off at some point. All that blue light is definitely boosting the algae in my tank.

Love the light but.....
Please add options to control the different l.e.ds at different times... need to be able to make our own sunsets and sunrises.... also needs an option to turn the moon blue leds off after sunset has finished instead of not being able to enjoy the blue leds at night because you have to set it to 0% Needs a little more overall control over the light... please.

Good but needs another feature
For setting the time of the lights and being able to select the intensity of the light this is great. One feature that would make the lights and this app even more user friendly would be the ability to set the “blue” or another light as a night light that was only on for a set period after the sunset period. This means you could still observe the fish after the lights have mostly gone off/in the morning as an additional time zone on the schedule.

Great light but app needs improvement
I bought the aquasky light. The light is awesome very bright I would give the light 5 stars but the app that controls the light needs some work I would give it 3 stars. It needs an extra setting like a lot of people have mentioned to turn off at night also it needs instructions for the app. and the app. also needs to have adjustments to help customize your Sunset settings and Sunrise settings, also I would like to see the cloud cover settings be a little bit more significant. I have only had this light for one day will update later. I hope the app gets a lot better soon!

REVIEW UPDATE
So far it’s worked without crashes. I really hope Fluval makes the app cooler, and faster because more things they make will eventually have an app companion. Also it would be nice to have these lights connected to HomeKit.
It might not be pretty but it’s VERY RELIABLE. Each and every time I open the app and tap on my light, it works the FIRST TIME. Since I’ve gotten the light and app about 4 weeks ago I have experienced zero issues!
