Terrible

Is this really something Audi would put their name to? The most basic app, yet still stuffs up. I think they got a primary school child to make this.

Do not get this

Better options out there. Being Audi I thought this would be a quality product. The cameras are above average but the application is beyond words, certainly should not be sold period!! This has now been over a year and no significant improvements to the app can only lead me to believe that Audi does not care nor invest in this product and is merely trying to get on the gravy train.

Recommend you look at alternatives before considering this product based on the school grade application.

Tarnishes the Audi brand name

BlackVue which is 1/3 of the price is a much better dashcam. Easy to setup, easy to access recordings, better quality resolution, etc. Why can’t I access rear cam footage when I access memory card via computer? Very cumbersome to access recording. Car needs to be running to view recording on phone...

Please sort out Audi

If someone told me that Audi had their own Traffic Recorder (camera) but the software and access to the recordings were worse than a £25 import from China - I would not believe it! But I'm afraid this is true (at the moment).
I totaly concur with most of the negative comments. £650 should buy you a better product/app.
The recording (deleting the card and downloading using a Mac) is equal to my £25 import (which is very good for the price of £25). But the worst part is as I said - the app - software/connection via the iPhone in my case. IF YOU CAN OF COURSE get the connection! Hit and Miss at best.
Audi you are better than this and you have the money to employ the girls and guys who could make this work.

Don’t waste your money

Like others who have given poor reviews mine is also not full of praise , 60k car , £600 camera , expensive phone and a free app to make it all work !!!! Wish I had read the reviews and taken note of all the problems !!! Audi you have let a lot of people down , hang your heads in shame .

Does no-one test after upgrades ?

Thank you ! This latest update seems to fix all the bugs ! Can finally connect again using the app!

A potential improvement would be not only to download the video but be able to share via mail, so you can forward potentially vital video clips more easily

So much promise, needs further development

Continues to crash and glitch.
A great product is let down by the supporting software. Requires further development.

We pay a premium for a premium product, yet Garmin and other recorder providers continue to develop their offerings.

Please continue development of the software, so we can have better user engagement and functionality.

Can no longer connect!

I’ve just “updated” to the latest version of the app and now then app doesn’t even recognise the UTR!

Please Audi fix ASAP!

So far, not so good

Had great expectations from the advertised system. The availability of a manufacturer supported dash camera for our new Audi made this an obvious choice. However, it’s totally undeveloped with a clunky app with the various flaws identified by others. Why doesn’t it connect automatically without having to go into phone settings every time? Why isn’t it possible to export video saved on your phone? Why does it get confused when you have the app on two phones? What is the point of the live video streaming when you have to be sat in the car with the ignition on to use it? Hopefully the developers are taking the hint from all the poor feedback! And finally - unless you speak German don’t bother with the App Support!

Why can’t car makers write good software?

Camera is good. App is rubbish.
1. Connecting to the WiFi on the camera is clunky. You need to go to settings and log out of your existing WiFi network and join the cameras before going back into the app.
2. When viewing videos or downloading them you can’t export them to your phone’s camera roll. Making sharing or editing them a pain. Downloaded videos are ring-fenced in the app.
3. Videos are listed by file name with no further time and date details making finding the right file to download or view difficult.
