Excellent App, please add features:
I won’t echo the other great reviews. It is an awesome calculator that costs nothing to access the 4DOF data.
I would like to see the app have an option to estimate altitude by using the GPS location. There should also be an option to use the iphone’s built in barometer for the pressure reading.
my other gripe is that my weathermeter (the one with the built in compass), won’t let me override the wind direction when the device is paired. This wouldn’t be a problem if the weather meters compass was even slightly accurate.Show lesscanecorso85
No tracking needed
I shoot several caliber rifles and hunt/ reload all of them with Hornady bullets. I love the SST in my 25’s and the ELD-X in my 300 and 6.5cd. My son and I varmit hunt, deer hunt and big game hunt and these bullets have never let us down. It’s usually bang, flop. Thanks for great bullets.Jake's Mom
Hornady Ballistic Calculator App
This is a very solid app. I’ve tried several others with no luck. I’ve been using this app since May and every time I use it the info is right on the money. I only have access to a 1000 yard range, so I can’t speak for it past there. 1000 yards and in the thing is true.SAV6.5CREED
Ok but what did I even pay for in app?
This app is pretty good, at least as good or better than other free options. I opted into the range cards feature and I am still struggling to figure out what I even paid $.99 for. I mean, $.99 not a big deal I already wasted more than $.99 worth of my time on this review. I was under the impression that I could create a range card that I could DO SOMETHING with, like maybe export it into excel, or at the very least email it to myself from the app as a PDF so I could print it. As far as I can tell there is no way to put the information on a “card” at all with this app. I ended up typing all the data into Excel from that the app gave me to make, wait for it a range CARD. I do not wish to be tethered to my phone especially while hunting and printing a range card for simple solutions is the easiest way to be comfortable with mid to long range shots, I wish this app offered a way for me to migrate the data in some way that would allow me to print it. At the end of the day this is all just math which is why there are dozens of these apps and they can all generate the exact same info so it all comes down to aesthetics and user interface. Bad things the bone app!
I just purchased a new Savage 6.5 creedmoor and a SWFA 20x42 scope about 8 weeks ago. I zeroed my gun at 100 yards and used the app to start moving out in increments to 1000 yards. This app is amazing! It takes all of the guess work out and will have you smacking steel at distances you would not imagine! I love my creedmoor but the app was the real secret to improving my accuracy! Great job Hornady!Show lessK3Bootz
Performance
It is the best Ammo I used in years except for my own reloads, would revoke to anyone in of ammo. I am use to my reloads but now I am shooting a M1A 6.5 Creedmoor very happy. Am getting ready to place order for 500 hundred rounds 143 grain or 147 grain. Live in Nevada.gwdavisonsr
Phenomenal ballistic solver
I’ve had all the apps, Kestrels, PDA, and 4DOF has proven to be the most accurate with all the features used in the engine. It’s a bit different to set up than others but that unlocks all the pieces that make this what it is! Excellent job Hornady!Robert Brantley

I am new to long range shooting. I downloaded this app because I shoot the 6.5 creedmoor 140 ELD match round. This app got me right on target on first rounds at 400 yards. This app has been amazing. Getting ready to take it to 1000 yards to try it out next.Drana Bloodchief

A great, easy to use ballistics calculator that got me dialed in on the the target quick. I’m new to longer distance shooting and hit my farthest ever shot on the first try with the App.JDBMB
Great app, just one little thing that would make it even better!
This is an excellent, spot on app. All calculations for me have been dead accurate to extreme ranges. The only failing that I see with it is that it takes a second to navigate to the specific rifle calculator that you need. I wish there was a way to set the calculator for a specific rifle to the default page when the app is opened, to safe a precious few seconds when hunting and needing those calculations.
