Accurate
Had my 300 win mag dialed out to 850 yards but had not had a chance to shoot farther. A friend recommended the Hornady App so I got it. Found a mule deer buck at 960 yards. Used the app and whacked him first shot perfect lung shot. He was chasing does pretty hard so he circled around and faced us after shot one. I knew he was going down but we took a neck shot to end it quick for him. Perfect neck shot again at 960 yards. This app is great. I only wish it would display kinetic energy.
Update: Hornady responded to this review and explained where in the app I can find kinetic energy and velocity at distance.

Energy is quickly accessed from the HUD by tapping the "table" button next to Come Up and Windage. You can also see velocity at distance, time of flight and more.Accurate Ammunition!
Love Hornady Ammo! Some years ago I sent a Sako barreled action to Hill Country Rifles for them to install a McMillian stock, and do their Accuracy package. Wow, what a great experience!
Rifle returned with target after all work completed, and 3 shot group, using Hornady Ammunition.
A ragged hole, all 3 shots touching!!!

Crash and crash and crash!
I have never reviewed an app even ones I didn’t like, but this app is terrible on my iPhone XR. I have used it probably three times total. Every other time I have tried to use it it crashed. Open the app it starts to think then closes the app. It did this before also then I waited a week and it finally worked a few times now it’s just crashing every time I try to use it. I like the design it just is terrible to open and use.Show lessidaho88
App Crashing Now - Fixed
Since the most recent IOS update the app crashes every time I tried to select any of the menu options. Deleted app and reinstalled and now it doesn’t get past the launch screen before crashing. Went looking for APP support on Hornady website with no luck so this is a last resort.

It was iOS 13 and we've made updates to the app to accommodate their changes. If you update the Ballistics app, those issues will be resolved.Great app
The app does everything I need to set my rifles.
The only time I have a problem is when I’m on a set up screen it has locked up and I have to back out of the app and start over.Captain 29-1
Great app, currently broken
Well done interface with a great 4DOF engine. I use this app for all my loads that use Hornady bullets. Love to see the ever expanding choices in the 4DOF part, including some 22LR.
Currently the app is completely broken. Lots of blank UI elements, including the main elevation and windage output and the wind speed dial. The app crashes when trying to pair with my Kestrel. Hopefully they will undo the last update, it used to work just fine for me.Show lesskevwil

It has been added to the 4DOF engine, and should be listed on the Standard (BC) side ASAP.Could be the best.
Would like to see ammo box’s and prices with pictures of the round. Maybe offer some merchandise like sticker hats t-shirts. Or just some links going to you home web site. Love Hornady.bla bla jones
Nothing but crashes
Downloaded half an hour ago to my iPhone and iPad. Nothing but crashes on both devices. Even full power off and restart on both devices but no improvement. iPhone only got as far as the first screen before crashing. iPad only got a white box outlined in black before crashing. Tried both about six times each. I wanted it to work because Hornady makes some of my favorite projectiles (ELD-M, ELD-X, AMAX). Deleted app from both devices. There’s half an hour of my life that I’ll never get back.Show lesstustinjs
App won’t open
I would really like to try this app, especially as I am shooting Hornady Match ammo in my rifles, however I can not get the app to open. I am running an iPhone XS with iOS 12.3.1, and an iPad Air 2. I have tried to download several versions as well as restarting the devices. However, the app opens on the screen for 15 sec, and then closes before it loads and any info appears. Won’t even start up
App doesn’t even start up. Reloaded it on my phone again and still wouldn’t open. Restarted my phone and tried it again and still won’t start up.POVIFAGA
