  • AWSOME!!!

I played threw the game and loved the story line the only thing I found wrong was that there were a few spelling mistakes but it was easy to understand what they meant to say. Just a warning there is a little bit of language in the game including 1 F-bomb a few uses of the sh word and a few uses of bull-sh.

  • Despite flaws, an excellent piece of work

Longtime fan of CYOA and interactive novels here. I must say that I was initially quite discouraged by the rampant spelling and grammatical errors, so much so that I nearly closed the game without giving it a chance. I’m glad that I didn’t.

The game mechanics and character customization are among the most sophisticated I’ve ever encountered. What the author lacks in technical writing skills, they make up for in storytelling ability. The characters feel believable, the plot is engaging, and your choices have a genuine impact on the outcome. I was more than willing to drop five bucks to support these talented people.

    Highly replayable, highly recommended.

  • GREAT GAME!!

I really enjoyed this game, not too much txt so it didn’t bore me and the story was really fun and thrilling!! Great job developers and pleaseeee make more games like this one!!!!
  • The best interactive novel I have ever played

I have played many interactive novels, and this one is by far the best. It has a (very) long storyline (at least for a visual novel) and an excellent plot. The stats system is also very well made. The only request I would have is the ability to undo choices, because I oftentimes hit "next" before selecting the choice I want. The replay value isn't great, but the storyline is long enough to make up for it. I couldn't play any other games for two days until I was done with my first playthrough, it's so good. Like all visual novels, it has its flaws, but this is still by far the best. Congrats to the author!

  • Excellent read

    Fun and quick
  • The Best Story Telling Game Ever

The amount of work put into this game is extraordinary. A book could have been written with the contents. This game combines excitement and anticipation to the extreme. Best game ever, and you can play it offline!
  • Excellent Game

With an excellent story, with many little side paths to follow which promote re-playing, The Great Tournament is a great game to play to waste a couple of hours, with a certain degree of tension towards the end. Although I really enjoyed the game, I did not feel as though it is possible to really mess up your storyline, that is, that your choices don’t matter all that much in the long run. I would definitely recommend this game to really anyone, just a warning however, there is a very minute amount of swearing, which I, personally, appreciated. Thanks to the developers for such an enjoyable game. I fully intend on playing again to search through every possible outcome. Also, if you wanted to try to beat my score, mine was 165 the first run through

  • Amazing game with one glaring flaw

The game is super fun and definitely an enjoyable experience, with a well written story, characters, plot, setting, etc. I would definitely say that this is one of the better text rpg games on here, but, that one glaring flaw was the fact that if you die, you have to restart. What made this so bad and annoying in my case was that I made it well into the game where I started getting random events, and I died to an overwhelming number of bandits, where the game wouldn’t let me retreat by failing all of them. My problem is basically I died to a random encounter far into the game and had to start over (so this is a rant along with a review).

  • Wow...

I honestly can’t read a single book for the life of me, but I could not put my phone down. This was by and the far the best thing that has come to the App Store. Insanely well done and I can’t wait to start playing the sequel. Just Downloaded it... I got a 95 in the game, is that good?
  • I’m very frustrated

I have honestly spent more than a couple hours on this game and then bam. I’m killed by bandits. One lone paragraph and all my work is over. I’m very frustrated and understandably upset. Add a save function or revert to checkpoint or something. The game is long, and clearly divided into parts, narrative wise. It’s difficult to understand why I should waste all of that time if I’m going to be killed in a single paragraph. By BANDITS.
