  • Sad to see one of my favs going so far downhill

    At this rate, the Friendly’s in Haverhill will be gone shortly too.

    I ordered a large Reese’s Pieces Sundae with butter crunch ice cream. My son ordered a birthday cake Friend-z. He started to eat his first and there was a shallow layer of the blue birthday cake and then it was 3/4 vanilla soft serve under that. Barely mixed at all. I felt bad, until I started eating mine. First off, the ice cream was not the right flavor. Then I noticed that other than a small amount of peanut butter sauce and marshmallow sauce on the top scoop of (the wrong) ice cream, there was nothing else. I remember when I would finish the ice cream and there was hot fudge and peanut butter sauce still on the bottom, and it was so good. Now? It’s like they put one small scoop of all the toppings and called it a day. Terrible. Spent $8+ on a sundae and threw it away after 5-6 bites. I guess McDonald’s next door will get my business from now on, at least their McFlurries are mixed and are made correctly. Sad that such a great place to eat over the years (and I’ve been going for 40+ years) is going down the drain this far. If what I had tonight is the new standard at the Haverhill location, I won’t miss them when they are gone.

  • Horrible

    This app is horrible. I asked for curbside. I finally wait almost half an hour and go in to get my order and they say we don’t have curbside. I tell them that the app says you have curbside. They tell me that they don’t. So my mobility is low and it’s very difficult for me to get ice cream for my husband. If you don’t have curbside, say you don’t have curbside. Instead you take my money and make me somehow get up those steps and go in and get it myself. Then I find three employees sitting around laughing and talking. The girl looks at me like I’m crazy and blames it all on me.I doubt that it will hurt your stock prices but my time at Friendly’s is done

  • Accountability

    I made an order online and indicated to the driver, once they initially made contact, to come into my place of work. We multiple satellite offices, and he went to the wrong one. Rather than going to the address that I listed, he simply typed in the name of the company. I double checked four times to make sure that I had listed the correct address.

    Also, he left the bag outside, even though I told him to come inside. My coworkers at the other location found it, and the ice cream was all melted.

    The delivery service, OLO has no resource for customer service, and the services for corporate Friendlies are horrendous. A phone number leads you to a voicemail which indicates that they are no longer taking surveys. The other available “customer service” is an address. Yes, in 2023 I want to write a letter.

    There is a message online, indicating to contact the individual Friendlys office. I did that, and they had no way of corresponding the actual order number from the app. I offered my name, and they indicated that I would be refunded. It never happened.

    By the way, as for the actual driver, I had no resource to be able to call him or text him as he blocked me prior to me knowing that the order had gone to another office. He just didn’t care. Friendly’s just doesn’t care.

  • Be aware

    The app works well, unfortunately there is no accountability on the Friendly’s side regarding delivery. Friendly’s uses a 3rd party (Doordash) to deliver on their behalf without any exposure to the customer. Our order was not delivered when it was said that it was. Friendly’s said they use doordash and to contact them and doordash said to contact Friendly’s, no accountability and we are out $60. My thought is the order may have been stolen and the driver is aware of the lack of communication between these services, which is why I’d be concerned ordering again. We are left without our lunch or $$

  • App Won’t let me place order

    Have used this app religiously for years to order dinner and desserts without a problem. Moved to FL a few months ago so app wasn’t used at all. Visiting family in NY and tried to order ice cream for pick up and app is USELESS. I check recent orders and favorites and everything I click on I get a notification saying “store not found” and I know for a fact the locations I’m selecting are still open for business as I was there in person. I have tried going to the locations directly in the app and none of them allow for online ordering. I have deleted and reinstalled the app several times to log back in and same results. I don’t want to delete my account but I will if I can’t use the app. Looks like a recent update but not seeing anyone else with the same problem.

  • I still have to order at the restaurant!

    I give 2 stars because I can’t call the local Friendly’s to order and this is the only way for me to order so I do t have to wait in line with the door dash guys. They don’t answer the phone. You can no longer order Mac and cheese with a kids meal on this app (it costs more but we don’t care). Now we have to order on line and go right in to add the Mac and cheese at the store. Today they took away the ice team scoop in the kids desserts. Now you can only order a sundae and not specify the ice cream flavor. The kids just want scoops of ice cream and Mac and cheese with a kid grilled cheese for the love of God! Fox this stupid app. Better yet, fix your pathetic restaurant.

  • Still can’t change certain options

    Some of the options on certain items are not correct. For example, the Jammed Up burger has mayo on it. Nowhere in the description or options does it say that it has mayo. But if you hate mayo like I do, and you suddenly get a mouthful, you’re going to be very unhappy. But there’s no option to remove it. And if you click on food allergy, you’d expect an option to be able to specify what your allergy is, but there is none. This app still has a long way to go. Correct all the options of what is on each item, be able to add or remove all options, and open a box to be able to type exactly what your food allergy is.

  • Too Much Ice In Soda

    Friendly’s located in High Pointe, Harrisburg PA puts way too much ice in their to go order sodas. I had 3/4 of my cup filled with ice. There should have been 3/4 of the cup filled with soda not ice.

    The delivery service is terrible also. I placed an order at 8:00 pm, the APP said ready at 8:29 pm, 9:00 pm I still did not have my order. I called the restaurant and was told they would remake it and get out to me ASAP, which was nice of them to make it right, but I shouldn’t have had to call in the first place. This happens way too often.

    There have also been numerous times that I had never gotten my orders. I will say when that happened they gave me a free meal one time and the other times I got free ice cream.

    Friendly’s, you really need to train your staff better.

  • Getting harder to order. Fir the last few momaths I have had nothing but problems.

    I have had times when I would enter an order only to have It pop up after ordering thst the online ordering is not available. Is ore closing time so I know it’s not because they are closing soon. I have also had problems getting the complete order to go through. Tonight I had to add a couple things because what I ordered wasn't showing up. Had to go back and reorder everything that didn't show up first time I ordered It. I have used rewards for discounts and lost my money after the order didn’t fill
    In correctly snd lost my $5. I seem to have so many problems with the site. It’s never easy. And order st least once a week sometimes twice if we decide to just get ice cream one night

  • Disappointed

    Very unpleasant experience tonight when my family ordered ice cream for delivery.
    Never have I ever received an order just in a drink tray! Milkshakes weren’t placed in a sealed bag or anything. How is that even safe food handling? When called the restaurant for answers I spoke with the manager Andrew who told me “um well all the restaurants in Westfield do this” Actually they most certainly don’t! We’ve always received our orders in sealed bags.
    No respect and not even I’m sorry or how can I make this better?
