Connecting to friends.

At first we had some problems connecting my garmin but I emailed the ap developer and they fixed it to work! Great customer service and now my friends and I can hold each other accountable. One gas Apple, I have a garmin and the other has a Fitbit.

Notifications

I love this app! However the only thing itโ€™s missing is notifications. It doesnโ€™t notify you when friends pass you in steps. Or if you won for the day. Another suggestion is to have weekly challenges.

Love walking

Thanks Rita for motivating me

this is so dumb

this app doesn't even count your steps...it relies on another app so if you don't have the other app set up it doesn't work at all...my step count stayed at zero all day until I figured out how to set up and run the other app
its basically just a fancy score board and you could accomplish the same thing with a group text message where you post your data from the other app

Response from developer

Hi, this is incorrect. Social Steps read steps from Apple Health and does not require additional apps to be installed. You can always reach out to me on socialstepsapp@gmail.com and I will help you to solve any problems that you are having with the app.

Amazing! Compatible with 3 smart watches!

A few months ago, I emailed Jose and asked if there was anyway he could add Garmin to the app. I had been using a Fitbit and able to compete with friends through the Fitbit app, but had recently purchased a Garmin, and was sad we couldn't keep up our weekly challenges. I was amazed when he emailed me back and said it had been done! I am super excited to be able to compete with friends who have apple watches, Fitbit and Garmin!

Noice

Garmin?

I would love to use this with friends and family but it seems it is not compatible with Garmin. No qualms with the app itself as it seems like a great idea, but it just doesnโ€™t work with the current watch/app that I have.

Great for family and friends!

My daughters and their families live in other states. I have been trying to lose weight and get my steps in, but itโ€™s tough. Once we all signed up with this app yesterday, everyone is really getting competitive and so am I! Woohoo!!!

Great Idea but some needed improvements

My family got this app to compete and it has been a great motivator! However there a few changes that would make it better:
1) make it compatible with Apple Watch
2) be able to edit which friends show up on your home page
3) be able to start challenges with groups
4) make finding friends way easier by connecting contacts and not having to send a link
5) allow us to see more statistics such as overview of steps throughout the day and more
