One of the best resources for Bible Study!
The Catena App is one of the most resourceful apps I have ever used. The layout is very simple, and very easy to save and share commentaries. The diversity of commentaries has really increased my knowledge and love of the Catholic faith. I don’t know where I would be without this app.
I would ask the developers to fix the crashes, that occur sometimes. I would also ask for a better integration of other Bible Versions on the mobile app, like the Douay-Rheims. I also would like to see some Greek and Latin Vulgate Versions as well.Show lessMarkB0813
Simply Incredible, a MUST HAVE for any Christian
This is simply the best bible app on the AppStore. An easy to use interface, with regular updates even 3 years after launch. Simply amazing commentaries for each verse which is both user friendly and easy to follow.
I don’t watch the live shows or read the lectionary but I do appreciate them for others that use them. The Bible commentaries are the real star of the show.
Negatives: after 3 years, they still haven’t allowed multiple bible translations on mobile which is a shame. Also, there does seem to be minor issues with scrolling up and down on some commentaries.
Otherwise, these are minor issues and this app is a must have for anyone who wants to study the Bible.Show lessMosesKing123
Very Useful app
A great app with a rich set of features. However, the daily reading screen does not work. All the readings continue to show the busy cursor and if you click on any reading section, the app closes. Many thanks for the developer for providing us with this great app freely.Gabby
Crashes when I create an account.
Great app in terms of Biblical content and commentary. However I cannot create an account. Doing so crashes the app and the only way to restore it is to delete and redownload. When I try to create an account, I get a white screen. Closing it and reopening takes me back to the same white screen. Please fix. Thanks.Show lessCookiez12345678

Proposal
This app is great. God bless you guys. I know many missionaries and priests who use it. What is seriously lacking from the Coptic Orthodox Church, is widely available commentary from our church fathers that is easily accessible for the general public. A newly ordained priest or servant, has trouble finding orthodox material to prepare a sermon/Bible study etc.
The ONLY contemporary English commentary on Scripture produced by the Coptic Orthodox Church is by Fr Tadros Malaty. That being said, it is very comprehensive. If I supplied it to the team, would you be able to include it in the app. I think it would be extremely useful for the Church worldwide.

Great app that I’ve always said needs to exist!
For years I’ve been saying there needs to be a website / app that allows a person to access verse by verse commentary on Scripture. Here it is.
