  • I can’t hear the volume from the app

    The live video works fine but I can not hear the sound when watching it from my phone; which is not in silent mode. I just hear static when watching the live videos. Calling customer service to get technical support is not so great either. You really get what you pay for at the price of $45 for the wireless 720 version. Good luck with this camera if you get it because it is not that great when it comes to 2-way sound communication.

  • Unreliable

    I have been trying to use this app and cameras for over two weeks. It is so unreliable. I have checked all network/wi-fi connectivity and yet I still can’t live stream anytime that I should be able to. I can see the recordings and I get the motion notifications as needed, but most times when trying to live stream it can never connect. It would be great if you could restart the app - and yes, I’ve restarted the cameras remotely multiple times hoping that it would reset the feed but that doesn’t do it. I’ve opened a trouble ticket but have yet to hear back from Momentum. The system was not expensive to me so I can’t complain all that much, but I’ve had to go elsewhere to cover my needs. Too bad, because in theory when it works it is a great inexpensive option but I need more stability in the live feed.

  • Bad update!

    Everything was working great and I recommend the device to my friends. I now don’t see anything on the activity screen like I used to. Formatted the SD card. Still didn’t work! Went through the setup, still not working. I just found out they updated the app without notification. Now I don’t see anything on the activity screen even though I get notifications of activity. After hunting through the app I finally found where they hid the SD card info and stored video.
    This WAS a very user friendly app and worked well. Now it’s difficult to use. Seems like they just want you to use their online storage. Not what the box said. They need to restore the activity screen so I don’t waste time. I’m a retired electronic tech and pretty savvy when it comes to computers. My wife isn’t so she thinks the device is now a waste of money and wants to go with another brand.

  • This-Is-A-rip-Off!

    I bought it several months ago. Got the camera that would also open your garage. It worked pretty well and I was OK with it, although it was kind of expensive I think it was upwards of $70. After reading the information it was some wording I was concerned about that said basically after your 30 day trial you’d have to pay a monthly phoebe to store videos and play them back from their service. I was aware that this camera had a micro SD card slot and is soon as there I could still save video that way. Nevertheless I called the company within a couple of weeks after buying the camera, And I was a shored that I would still be able to record video to my microSD card after my trial. Had ended, I would just not be able to see videos to their cloud. My trial . ended and I found their word to the troop I continued using the camera for several more months. Suddenly, tonight I discover that the camera will not record any videos anymore, not even to my micro SD card, unless I pay a subscription. I don’t know how that happened. Did my phone update the app without my consent, or is the app still operating directly through their website? Anyway, I didn’t agree to any of that, and although it has now been several months since I purchased it, what is the purpose of having a microSD card in the camera in the first place, unless it is for the owner to be able to record to it. So how do they justify charging a fee? Especially after tell me there was not one!

  • So far, so good

    Out of the box easy to set up. Great picture both day and night. Two-way audio very good. I was even able to set up the camera and then unplug it and move it. Once plugged back in it picked up the connection and worked great in the new location. I bought to watch the kids and the livestream allows me to do that and communicate with them as well.
    I haven’t tried the recording or notification features yet. so I cannot comment on how they work at this time.

  • Have to restart app

    As far as quality of the picture, it outshines the last camera I had. The downside, if I’m looking at the camera and get out of the app to do something else. When I come back to look at my camera it just spins and spins. It never comes back online and eventually crashes the app. If I want to live stream again I have to close of the app completely and come back in. Annoying if you’re using it to watch your baby (or anything else for that matter). I’ve emailed support and didn’t get a response. I won’t be buying another camera.

  • Useless update

    The update description claims they listened to our feedback. I call BS on that because the new privacy icon is useless it simply mutes the sound and goes to a black screen, why would anyone find this useful. Just close the app if you don’t want to view the live stream, I don’t understand the logic behind this feature.
    Audio is now Muted by default, again who would request this? You have to turn the audio back on every time the app is opened. Also there is no audio while reviewing captured moments with the app.
    The only way to hear what is going on say for instance if you have the audio trigger set to record upon a loud enough sound, you can view the captured video but you can’t determine what triggered it using the app. You have to download that particular video to hear any audio that may have triggered the capture. Get this product back to being user friendly without all the useless updates and I may consider a higher rating and possibly keeping my subscription, otherwise I’m out.

  • Momentum camera

    I love it , I bought the camera for my bunny rabbit so I could check on her when I am not at home , she has a huge cage area for when I am not home and can run around the living room, this way I know she is safe. My daughter loves the camera because we all have the apps on our phones and she likes to check for me and can talk to me thru the camera. Picture is very clear and night vision works great. Love it and have recommended it to my friends.

  • Horrible

    This was a waste of money I am looking for The developer of this horrible device to reach out to me! I am a single parent and bought it for security reasons $40 May not be Nothing to your company But I have never been more disappointed in purchasing a security device for my own safety. For my own pride I purchased it just for a cheap device to monitor some things and now looking back I wish I would have put my reasons aside and asked the family member I have that literally knows everything and anything regarding electronics. This is so horrible that I’m too embarrassed to even let them know I purchased it. I purchased it at Walmart and if I do not hear from the developer soon I will try to return it to Walmart without the box in the receipt I did not know that there could be a item out there that made it this far that Unhelpful and a waste of money. And it wasn’t even $40 it was $40 and some change with tags so we’re looking about $45. I am a Google reviewer. And a blogger and I am never said this before but I will go over and beyond to let everybody know what a joke this item is. Seeing all the negative reviews I kick myself for not even researching because there’s not a thing I buy that I don’t research I just needed some kind of security quickly like most people do if I had three or $400 I would buy security system that worked properly!

  • Camera 👍 app Trash

    Camera is great. The app is terrible. When playing back saved recording it only plays video no audio unless I save to one drive and stream from there. At this point only good for live streaming. you can’t watch recorded video until you get home and on same WiFi network unless you pay for subscription. If you have motion more than 19 seconds long, the reset for the next video is too long and camera misses activity. Total fail as a security cam semi fail as a video evidence cam. Live feed will freeze streaming video if you try to zoom in too much otherwise live feed works good. Can’t hear audio on saved video unless saved to OneDrive. Can only delete 1 video at a time. App freezes or crashes a lot. If microphone used it malfunctions to where I have to unplug cam to reset. Can’t set rule to separately just send notification of movement or just record video. When app crashes all video deleted reappear as activity but can’t view. Can’t set recording length. The list goes on and on waste of money. Only good for live viewing and sometimes that don’t work.
