Air mini+

After getting it to work, at least I think it is, the app says it is, there’s absolutely zero airflow, from the top and the side, I have tissue paper taped there just to see if it will ruffle a little bit showing me that there is some airflow, there is not. unit itself will tell you nothing, you can’t control the fan unless you use the app but even on five or on one it doesn’t make a difference, this is a horrible piece of equipment and it was a gift from my daughter, it will end up on a shelf and I will buy a different one, I want one that I can at least hear that it’s working or feel that it’s working or something, I think this is ridiculous

Highly dysfunctional app

This app is completely dysfunctional. It takes over 10 times to connect devices to the app. When you call Molekule customer service, they claim it’s your fault or that there is something wrong with your WiFi. Regardless if you are on 2.4 and don’t have WiFi extenders, their app is bad. Second, devices from molekule have extremely outdated firmware and when you purchase the pro, beware you won’t see your air score or get the full capabilities from the device. The only way to supposedly get the devices to work properly is if you are on the latest firmware. Seeing as how this app is created by amateurs who don’t seem to have an IT background, buyers are basically being ripped off. Nothing you can do once you purchased their devices that are overpriced as is. Device firmware is outdated on all devices. App can’t update. Someone should investigate Molekule.

Hasn’t made a difference in years now

I was one of the first ones years back to buy and excited to give them a chance, especially living in a rental unit not knowing what’s under the carpet. Unfortunately it didn’t make a difference, I can’t get it connected to this app nor it helps with dust mites and allergens in my daughter’s room, I keep my other filter going. During smoke seasons years back here in the Bay Area the Auto function didn’t adjust and wasn’t sufficient enough. I tried the app again this time at least to see how it has improved, after 4-5 years, and it’s not working/connecting.

Molecule mini

My mini is recording bad air with no change for over 12 months - I purchased 3 years ago. Customer service was useless and put all the burden on me to figure out the problem. Then told me out of warranty after 6 months of trying fixes. I switched the mini with my larger molecule and the reading was good for weeks. The mini continued reporting bad air when placed in 3 different rooms. Why would one molecule report good air in all these rooms while the mini doesn’t budge from bad air?
DO NOT BUY A MOLECULE- They are over priced and the company doesn’t care about its customers. Even contacting customer service is challenging. They offered to send me a refurbished one for $$$. Again - DO NOT BUY A MOLECULE - you will be disappointed.

It works finally

I purchased air @2023 summer, and couldn’t connect wifi no matter how I set up. I literally give up and just try update last version app, and it connected wifi at very first time. So smooth so easy. Wondering why old version couldn’t solve the problem lonnng time? Anyway, it works.(but no air quality sense at all) only show you the filter statue.

Glitches with both air filters

The app doesn’t work very well. I don’t receive notifications for filter status or usage.
The units routinely need to be disconnected from the app and then reloaded. Also even though the units do not move they register there are doors open on the filters baskets and they actually are still secure and closed. Quite frustrating because they just stop working with no notice . So multiple times a week I must monitor the filter usage remaining. Not as worry free as they should be for the cost of these units.

Sorry to hear about all the trouble, it sounds like you may have our original Molekule Air purifier, while the PECO filter technology that the device uses is the same, the features and notifications that the device can give were very limited at that time. We couldn't say what the issue is with the opened filter basket, but if the device is on an unleveled surface like carpet that could be throwing the unit off balance. Unable to connect to my filter

The app is not getting any better, it is always slow to connect, requires an online account and sometimes breaks and you will have to go through the steps to fix it.

App and syncing is frustrating

Products are good. Seeing the status of the filters, the app, and the way to sync the devices, however, is frustrating. For whatever reason, my purifiers (I have 3) keep losing wifi connection and when they do they also are no longer synced to the app. Getting them all reconnected and resynced to the app is a pain, so I’ve stopped doing it. Needing to use the app to do basic things, like checking the status of the filters is frustrating because the app is useless as soon as the devices lose connection. The devices should have a display on them that tells you the status of the filters without needing to look at the app.

We appreciate the honest feedback, our original Molekule Air doesn't have the ability to display the filter percentage if disconnected from the Molekule app, but our Molekule Air Pro does keep track of your filter percentage without needing to be connected, and while the Air Mini Basic and Air Mini+ aren't equipped with an LED screen they do, at the very least, alert you when your filter is getting low or needs to be replaced with a filter symbol that illuminates Green, Orange, and Red. Happy with my Molekule

I definitely appreciate the molecule because it does purify the air and when it isn’t on, you can tell a difference. I went into my sons room and it was off, so I checked everything out and change the filter on the bottom for good measure on it because his room was smelling and I placed it on boost to give it an extra good cleaning and it did not take long for the odor to go away. I love the sleek design compared to most air purifiers. The app works great and I thought of everything that I wanted in an air purifier. I like to keep them in the bedroom at night the air doesn’t get stagnant while sleeping.
