  • Works against you

I really want to love this game, especially with all the money I have (unwisely) dropped on it. It’s fun when it’s fair, but I am so frustrated being stuck on one single battle when I am well over 300 points over the recommended level for it. The enemies are stacked against you to make it pretty much impossible to win without lots of money, having five enemy dragons all take a turn every time you only make one move. How is that fair? If they get five moves every time, then I certainly should. I don’t want to give up on this game because I love this franchise so much and I have enjoyed other mobile games for it (I have been playing Rise of Berk for five years) but it will be hard to stick to it knowing how much they don’t want me to progress. Also, needing multiples of a rare dragon in order to train them is nonsense and another way to milk money from the player. Getting the scales is fine since you can do that through quests, but rare dragons you can only get through paying or from breeding rare dragons so you already have to have them (and then can’t use them in your party while you are breeding them, essentially stalling your play). Maybe they will iron out the issues one day since it is a pretty new game, but for now I’m afraid I’ve stopped having much fun with it.

  • Fun Game until third part

It’s makes me angry to play this game, even when I spend money. I’ve spent the past week and a half on one level because at a certain point, the game starts to counter your plays. I’ve spent times on different variations of dragons trying to beat the level, with different level four and five star dragons and the game changes to where it gives a certain runes that you can’t use. This extremely pisses me off and it seems others are having the same problem and the developers have done nothing about it. Until this is fixed this game won’t get anything more from me.
Update nearly one week later, nothing has changed. I have 3 level 4 and 1 level 5 dragon and I still cannot get past levels. It’s get to the point where on the first phase of a level, the dragons can attack my dragons 3-4 times each, all dealing nearly 170 damage with each strike, then at the end of their huge attack, use their special ability. This game needs to be fixed. It’s BS and I’m really getting tired and frustrated with it. Do not recommend if you don’t wanna spend money on the game. That’s the only way you can do anything in this game.

  • Enjoying but

I enjoy playing and can not wait for the features still in development to be released. But like many others it’s true you hit level 10 and everything gets much harder. Most of the time I can’t play levels because I’m waiting for dragons to hatch or until I get a free one.
Finally broke down to buy a package, but now my fish and money are completely full-hardly using either. I did get two four star dragons but they only do so much when I don’t have enough dragons to level them up. Once again I’m where I was before, stuck waiting to get a free dragon and waiting for my egg to hatch. Although I’m nearly out of eggs but I can’t get anymore since I can’t beat the levels because my dragons aren’t strong enough.
Getting toothless is pretty much impossible since again none of my dragons are strong enough to beat the levels.
I love this game but it’s ridiculous how hard it is to advance after level 10 without dumping money into it. I don’t mind spending a bit here and there but this seems to be a pay to win kind of game.

  • Game is fun where it stands

Listen, this is my first review EVER, and the reason for choosing this time and game to make a review should say something.

I see a lot of comments talking about how under-developed the game is and how slow the game is. You need to understand that this game is NEW! As the title says, the game is really fun for where it stands currently. I can’t wait for the Arena and the Clans, but because I have been playing this game since launch, I am obligated to wait for such updates to arrive, as well as ALL OF THE OTHER FANS!

I’m not trying to attack or call out the hate. What I’m saying, is that if you are a fan of Dragons: Titans Uprising, as well as the HTTYD Series as a whole, then you should have no problem with understanding and accepting that the developers and creators of this game are doing as best they can to create a memorable IOS Feature.

The last thing I’d like to add is this. Dragons: Titans Uprising is not a Pay-To-Win game. There is the option to buy Runes that can help you, but in the end, we all have the SAME chances acquiring high level dragons as the rest of the players. If you don’t believe me, spend money for the packs. You’ll see that it is rare to get high level dragons on the first pack, second pack, even the 50th pack you open. I’ve spent some money to see how easy it was to obtain a high level dragon, and I can say you’d spend a LOT of money to barely have a chance.

  • It’s fun

It’s a really fun game and I love the detail that is included in the dragons, even something as little a belly jiggles when roaring and the nostrils flaring when breathing. Found a few bugs where the game freezes mid level and then continues after a few moments. Only problem I have with the game is the currency. I’ve been stuck trying to get better dragons but can’t and can’t even level up dragons. I feel like the tunes are a little too expensive as well for picking dragons(4000 runes seems a little ridiculous especially when we don’t get runes that often for those of us that are not pay to win and getting rewards from tapjoy is just a hassle and not easy). The difficulty spikes so quickly as well especially in quests. With what I’m able to do I can do the first two stages easily and then the third stage spikes the power level up past 3000 which seems to be very hard to pass unless you have 4 or 5 star dragons. Other than that I love the game and I’m so glad I started playing it. Have had a hard time putting it down.

  • Great game, but bugs...

First, I would like to say that I don’t post reviews much, and don’t get me wrong. I love this game! I get enough coins and fish, but there was a large glitch with my game that should have given me the premium dragon draft, but gave me nothing in return. Because of this, I have been on the exact same level since it has happened, and nothing will let me continue the game. I’ve tried earning experience in order to get the breeding building, but I don’t get much from doing quests. The level I am stuck on is too hard for my level, ONLY because of the bug, and the levels power level compared to MY power level is at a 200 number distance from mine( the levels power level is 200 points higher than mine). If you don’t mind, and it’s not too much to ask, I would Just like to ask if I could have a dragon draft in my “terror-mail”, so that I can continue playing this wonderful game that I’ve been stuck on for the past few weeks.
My account is purplehawk109#1281 and I am happy to play this game.

  • Really awesome but with slight inconveniences

So I just recently got the game and it is amazing! I love that you get to actually see and interact with the actual 3D figures instead of a sprite. But here are my concerns: For a person who is obsessed with games, it is difficult for me when I cannot level up quick. The Light Fury event had me as soon as I saw that I had the chance to get one. But the thing is that leveling up takes too long, and the event has too short of a timespan. Sure, people who have tons of money they can spend on games with benefit more from the game because they basically have unlimited resources, but some players that are new, like myself, might want the same opportunities, even if obtaining them are slightly more difficult than for the people who buy in-game. The Light Fury is the perfect addition to any team, for both struggling newbies and in-game spending pros, and it would be beneficial if leveling up could be easier, and if the amount of trust points for the Light Fury event or any event could increase by 20/15 points every time they win a battle.

    Other than that, love it!

  • Boy Do I Wish I Had Better Things To Say

The game is a pointless farming adventure. The first few times you play, you level up a bunch. And it’s great! But then you get stuck because all of the challenges suddenly rise to about a 3000 power level while you’re still struggling to level up around 1900. But even worse is a fault I’ve found is that even if you’re hundreds of points above your opposing team (for example 3000 vs 2600) you still somehow lose because the mini bosses in each level have RIDICULOUS resistance. I die on the first of three waves even though I’m way above the opposing team’s power level???

This game was fun at first, really, but now it’s just a frustrating collection of nonsense that has unbalanced resources (I NEVER have enough coins for ANYTHING) and uninteresting gameplay after about a week. If this game improves, I’m all for it. But I’m about four seconds away from deleting a game that just wants me to spend real money on stupid virtual nonsense. We’re not dumb, Ludia. We get you want us to pay into the game. But at least make the game worth it, and not a frustrating pile of festering irritation.

  • Dragons you love, but can’t have

All of the characters you love are there and you know the developer’s put a great amount of effort into the lore and background from the movies/shows. That being said, this is a game. And as a game there are some broken aspects. Mainly you do not acquire these dragons you are such a big fan of. There are 3 currencies. Gold, fish and runes. Fish is used to level (train) dragons, gold is used in all base upgrading, runes are used to both speed up building and acquire more rare/valuable dragons. In the early days of this game it is so difficult to acquire runes that the only way I have found to acquire this currency at a decent rate is playing other greedier games for hours to acquire tapjoy ad rewards. Horrible, you can acquire runes from playing a limited time challenge mode in game or after competing so many levels in the main “campaign” I guess you would call it. But the progression is so slow and has reached such a plateau so early on that I can only acquire about 10 runes a day. Which at 400 per “summon” if you will or (a nice bonus of 11 for 4000 🙄) is a nice “chance” at one of the 4/5 star dragons every month and a half or so.

Oh and just an added kicker 50-60% of the features in the interface show as still “under development”

  • It’s extremely fun

This is probably one of my favorite games I ever played. I check in and play 2 to 3 times a day so I can beat levels, level up my dragons hatch new dragons and beat quests. But honestly I have to agree with some of the comments. Earning fish is way faster than earning coins. Maybe just a lil
Buff so that we earn a little more coins for completing levels or quests. However I disagree with one of the comments saying how they always hatch the same dragons that they want new dragons. I think earning new dragons often would ruin the game. I like earning the same dragons because I know I get to level up the dragons I already have. I finally earned my second star on a three star dragon and I was excited. Yes I can’t wait to get a 4 star or more three star dragons but I know I have to grind to get it and I’m okay with that. But overall I love the game keep up the good work looking forward to the changes that’s coming and the other stuff thats In development.
