The best privacy App ever made in the Apple App Store.

This is the best privacy App ever made in the Apple App Store, I highly recommend you download it and give it a go. It has a disposable mobile phone number, A disposable Email service and a Debit Card Masker All in one App, What more do you need?, This App is defiantly a 5 Out of 5 rating and I would rate it more if I could. Keep up the great work MySudo App creators, I look forward to seeing what other great features you will put in this great App and if the App stays the same with no new features in this App then I am still happy with the App and the way it is.

Solid Product

I have been using the app for 2 years for my work, it’s like having multiple business cards, simple and functional.

Great Privacy App with Clunky Functionality

I love using this app for shopping, selling or any time I don’t want to hand out my personal details. However, with the latest “improvements” I can’t seem to mark email as read or delete emails. They don’t stay marked as read or deleted. Please fix. It’s so annoying not being able to see what my actual notifications are because I can’t update what I’ve seen. It’s so annoying that I may just remove the app, but I’m going to wait a bit longer until the next update to see if it improves as I absolutely use it to evade online marketing.

Overall, the app has a nice design and in practice it seems to work well with most services. However, apps like Facebook, Instagram and a few others won’t accept the MySudo phone numbers. I don’t care about those services not being compatible with MySudo since those services infringe on privacy by just having them installed on a device. I’m not sure if there is a desktop version or web app available. I wish I could access MySudo email from a laptop or desktop machine when not near my phone.

Finally! A great phone app!

I’ve been hacked over two years, and they kept breaking into my WiFi, and apps, controlling who I call, intercept all messages, hang up on calls, read my emails, take over my accounts, hacked my home. Vehicles, and tons more! I moved away from there over the week end, and starting to feel human again... Beginning with THIS APP! If only I would have found this a long time ago... Encryption is HUGE! This is the BEST I’ve come across in a long time! Calls go through immediately, clear reception, texts come through, NO COMPLAINTS HERE! Thank you for helping me get back my life! I appreciate you!

Still needs work

Does what it says so far as it relates to offering alternative numbers etc so that’s why the one star however I sent a text to a non-user with a character count of 134 characters and it was counted as 3 messages as it exceeded the character limit.
Maybe it should advertise as a tweeting service instead of text.

Secondly the FAQ stated that the character limit was 160, so I don’t understand how a 134 character count text exceeded the limit and was “charged” for 3 messages as I was counted towards monthly limit.

Response from developer

Hi Sian, thanks for your feedback. Sending a message to a non-Sudo user has a character limit of 160, sending to a Sudo user has no limits. However it appears you may have iOS "Smart Punctuation" enabled which automatically converts simple single character punctuation characters to "Smart Punctuation" characters. Underlying these smart punctuation characters take up many characters instead of a single character, which unfortunately is out of our control. 😬 As stated in our FAQ, we recommend that you disable "Smart Punctuation" to avoid the issue you have described above. Please see https://support.mysudo.com/hc/en-us/articles/360019982194-What-is-the-character-length-limit-when-texting-a-non-MySudo-user- for more details. So. Many. Glitches

I wish this app would work well because $15 a month is not cheap. Often it’s hard to answer calls (you answer the call but it never connects”. Pictures don’t send or you never receive them. Sometimes it glitches and you can’t type text. If those things aren’t enough to give you a headache while using the app, it’s all the clicking around you have to do to get from one sudo to another to answer emails or texts for different profiles. Either lower your price or make this functional.

Pricey, and numbers are hit or miss.

The concept is really great. One major beef I have with this app is the pricing. The $15/mo plan is the only one that had unlimited calls and texts, which seems quite high to me.

Last I checked Burner is cheaper with the same capabilities. So if what you’re after is the phone capability, I’d go with something else until prices are lowered.

That brings me to my next point: Because companies have caught on to many of these services, they can detect VoIP numbers like the ones MySudo uses.

This means that for most online services, you’ll still have to give away your personal phone number since they don’t allow numbers from MySudo.

That basically eliminates 2/3 features of the service (text/call/email). Email is the easiest to generate a fake for, so this ends up making MySudo almost worthless.

For its current price points I would expect something more than its current offering given these limitations.

Unreliable and a pain to use

You have to put in your passcode or Touch ID just to use the app, with no option to skip that step. Plus it takes FOREVER to just get to the Touch ID screen. I don’t have my 3 Sudo numbers memorized so whenever I want to give them one of the numbers reserved for businesses, we have to stand around awkwardly while the app takes its time opening.

I have also noticed a lot of SMS messages just happen to come through at the exact moment that I open the app. It’s happened enough for me to not trust that messages are not being delivered like they should. I have just gone back to using the number attached to my SIM if it’s a person or business who’s messages I can’t afford to miss. I regret buying the year of Sudo at the half off intro rate and giving everyone I know my Sudo numbers that will have to be switched when the year runs out. I definitely won’t be renewing.

Hi Abishag, thanks for your feedback.  If you find the TouchID security inconvenient, you can easily disable this feature from the Settings menu in the App. For more information on enabling / disabling TouchID please see this article: https://support.mysudo.com/hc/en-us/articles/360026845813-How-to-secure-your-MySudo-account-with-Touch-Face-ID-or-a-PIN . We are aware that some users of older iOS devices have at times, experienced missing new notifications after the App has been backgrounded for an extended period of time. We understand that this is a frustrating issue and we are working hard to get a fix released for this issue ASAP. Please contact us at support@mysudo.com and/or follow us at https://twitter.com/mysudoapp to stay informed on the progress of this fix. Best regards TeamSudo

Hate this app I wished I never started it

Ok they came out with Sudo and it was free. And used it without issue and the they forced an update that made you pay to use it. And it is unbearably expensive. 4.99 a month for 300 lousy texts. Hey sudo you just got my fee in the form of this very real warning to anyone that may be interested in your high cost app to stay away. I don’t need some high level security in a communication app, I needed one that was free or great value because I don’t have a cell phone service thus WiFi is my connection and sudo just wasted my time and some money until today because I am cutting it off with them. Thank you for nothing.
