AMAZING 🤩 😍
i literally love this app it’s so nice and neat and i’m in highschool and it makes my photos look really cool and aesthetic and it helps me gain followers on my insta account because the stories are so cool. i use this after i edited my photos with vsco/lightroom then i plug them into this app it and looks so nice😁 this app is one of my favorites! the only thing i don’t like is that unfold plus seems to have cooler stuff (like always) but the non premium option have very little. it would be nice to see there be more in the non premium version bc some people can’t afford it.Show lessdedeflowerflow
Brands needs work
I’ve been using unfold for years and love it, I was always hoping that we could upload our own PNG files as stickers as I use this to manage brands and wanted to use their logo without switching to another app to add it. When I saw that you could do this with the new brands, I bought it, but for $100 the functionality you get is pretty minimal… And when you upload a PNG file to use as a sticker it turns the transparent background white. Meaning that you cannot use your logos like you can on other apps or even an Instagram app it’s self :/ Would like to see more features for brands and would like this fixedShow lessIg girl 2212
Don’t bother... basically stole my money
I used the app and tried the free 7 day trial of unfold+ and subsequently signed up for a year membership. My free trial ended yesterday, I was charged for the membership, and I no longer have access to any of the membership features I’ve paid for. I tried to “restore purchases” and nothing happened. I deleted and reinstalled the app, and nothing happened. I even tried to subscribe again, and nothing happened. I’ve reached out to customer service but have not received a response. Pretty garbage experience, unfortunately. I was really enjoying the app until this happened, but now I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.Show lesswizzardlizzard
Overall, a great app.
I have been using Unfold for a while now to edit my photos and print them and even use them for my Instagram page. It’s been great and everything about it is amazing. It makes my photos look aesthetically pleasing and all of the options that I have for templates and stickers are a lot. But the only problem that I have with this app is that to access almost anything, you need the premium. So I could’ve done a lot more if it was for free and people would’ve liked and shared it more. I suggest they make more things for free that are actually nice and even if they want a premium, at least add more things that we don’t have to pay for. I love it, BUT...
Problem 1: Every time there’s a new theme...my custom template order gets rearranged. And this has been a problem for a long time now. So my nice and orderly CS1, CS2, CS3, RP1, RP2, ART, JN1, etc...gets changed to (like today for example) CS1, HOME, RP2, CS3, JN1, CS2, etc. It will move templates I have not bought up to the front (no shade, just not into digital wave) and also the 2018, which is no longer necessary.
Which leads to
Problem 2: when I see this rearranged template order, I go into the settings to rearrange them and the mechanism to rearrange them...pressing the two lines...is very very very finicky. I’ve used this app on different phone models before and after the Haptic Touch update. I’ve used the app from my 7+ all the way to my current 11 Pro Max. It’s always been finicky. And by finicky, I mean pressing and lightly holding or pressing harder or longer, nothing will activate it until it will just happen randomly.Show lessaaronnobu
Extremely irritating bug
The new update changed the title font, which I dislike quite a bit. It messed with my aesthetic. I’m not okay with it at all. Not only that, I decided to update all my story covers and each time the app closed on me. I continued to edit and get kicked off for every change I made. By the 4-5th time this occurred, my patience gave out. In all, I’m disappointed with the new update. I hope the title fonts will be fixed soon. A suggestion would be to allow us to change it to suit our style. The last design was amazing, but perhaps others prefer the new one. I’ll be taking a break from Unfold to allow changes to be made. Endless Possibilities
I have had this app for a few months now and I love to explore all the features it has to offer. I am absolutely in love with its templates and design options that allow for so much creativity and expression. I love using the app to create stories for Instagram but I have recently found I can make unique wallpapers as well. This is something I had been searching for, for some time now and am overjoyed I found my new go-to app for collages. That being said, I would be even more ecstatic if it were at all possible in the future to allow for horizontal templates or an option to convert from vertical to horizontal with the same format. I am still thrilled with the app how it is but a feature like horizontal options would be really useful for computer wallpapers or stories on other devices.Show lesssamxlevine
Bought annual membership & it disappeared a week later
Last week I upgraded to Plus so I can access the nicer fonts for my business IG stories. I got a few days with Plus and today I opened the app and no longer have Plus. I never cancelled my membership. I clicked “restore purchases” and there is the wheel of death then after 2 minutes of spinning, the app has an error message saying “cannot connect to iTunes”. It seems like many others are having this issue too lately. I’m going to look into other apps now. This is not acceptable to pay $20 to upgrade then a week later claim I never upgraded and not refund.Show lessLc8998
Good app - close to great!
This app definitely helps you change the game for IG stories. It’s so much easier to build your narrative and also automatically helps show your photos in a polished way.
There are a few tweaks that I would love help on from the developer:
1. It would be great to share or transport pages between different stories within the app instead of having to rebuild it.
2. It would also be good to see your full story in a grid or tiled format so you can see your layouts holistically or rearrange your pages. Right now, if you’ve built a long story, you have to shift the order slide by slide so it’s really laborious.
3. App access through different devices. I have all my app content on one device. I can not access this on my mini IPad or my second phone. Most apps you can access from multiple devices.
4. The ability to export into keynote versus just a pdf is a pipe dream. Hoping this is in the future scope. It will change the game for on the go recaps.

Good concept, annoying to use
The idea of Unfold is great, but having used it for a few weeks, I’m getting pretty annoyed by its interface.
First is the keyboard. I often write in Japanese for my work, and the way that Unfold’s text boxes are formatted makes it impossible to write in Japanese. I have to copy and paste everything from my notes app into Unfold.
Next, There’s also only a select few background colours to choose from. Don’t want black, white or a pastel colour for the background? Too bad.
Organising slides is incredibly annoying. When you make a new slide it automatically goes to the end of your slideshow. Want it in the middle of your slideshow? Be prepared to press “left” 30-odd times to get it where you want it.
I hate how I have to select my template BEFORE I select my photos to insert. Why can’t I move around my photos and easily experiment with different formats? I’m constantly creating a new slide just to view my photos, only to delete it and create it again in a different template.
Not sure if I’m making sense. To summarise: I want to like Unfold and I was going to pay for their premium service, but their interface is just too finicky to use.Show less0liverJ
