Not connect and wasting time and money
I bought the lunar display stuff and I tried to connect it and it didn’t connect! Don’t waste you money on a dongle that doesn’t even work and don’t waste you time on try everything cause that’s what I did and it never worked! Conclusion: It’s a dongle that isn’t even a dongle and doesn’t even work!

Great Solution
Moved into small apartment. Can now stow MacMini on shelf to free up desk space from monitor. Works seamlessly. Mini and iPad Pro are older (minimum requirement) models.
Please add tools for using LunaDisplay more seamlessly as the primary display for a headless Mac

Far better than side car BUT not good for teleprompter😔
I spent 2 weeks, looking for the best teleprompter solution for my zoom conferences. From all 3 apps which offer screen flip mirror, Luna is by far the best. Unfortunately my 2019 MacBook Pro i7 16 gb RAM gets very, very hot and super noisy - regardless if I display you tube or zoom on my iPad.
I just returned a A11 Liliput screen (no overheating at all - but colors were awful vs iPad), and I will probably buy it again - as the best teleprompter solution.
Astropad has great customer service👍🏻 however it’s engineers have to find a way for iPad to overtake some processes from primary computer. Otherwise it is a big burden for MacBook Pro processor (for some magic reasons HDMI monitors does not make my Mac noisy at all - cannot understand why, as they are super weak vs iPads).
I will return Luna now
(although for non-teleprompter use it is probably ok).

Super impressed and pleased!
I am so amazed and impressed by this product. It saves me lots of money on a new 4K monitor. I am able to recycle my old 2011 iMac and used it as a monitor for my new Mac mini. It helps to save the environment and money. My old iMac still has a very good monitor screen, it’s such a waste to be thrown away. The quality of a 2011 iMac is even better than the new Samsung 4K monitor I purchased in 2021. I returned the 2021 monitor. Apple products are made of high quality materials and it can used for many years and not end in a dump site so soon. Thank you for making this possible. I hope more people will find your product useful. I also wonder if there is a version for iPad > iMac. It’s a regular lightning plug.

It does the magic, pad is a new monitor.
To improve, in headless mode automatic login is not good, there should be an option for apple login.
No where in the instructions is clear how mouse and keyboard work, can they be far from Mac? No I see they can be far apart I guess Bluetooth from ipad activates, if so why can we have same technology for any iPad.
Movies don’t work, they are just black, don’t know if it is right protection or I need a new color configuration in display settings.
There is no explanation on what Retina display means beside the regular marketing from apple, can I see more screen? Windows fit better?, too much power consumption?, why is not activated by default?
Great work anyway, I almost threw away my iPad mini, now is my new laptop.

Great Gadget
This device and app are extremely useful. I love the fact that I can use it with my IPad. I can bring my IMac Mini on the road with me and use my IPad as a display. Understand me, I can use full applications on my mobile device, while I’m mobile.
The 4 star rating is due to the lag and interference I’m seeing while using the WiFi settings. I suspect 5G will overcome that issue no problem. But as of today, I am using 4G WiFi.
Final Recommendation: Buy several

Great Product
I purchased this two days ago, had some challenges getting it to work after setup when remote. I submitted a question to tech support and got a response quick. I made the changes and it works great!!! I was so frustrated after purchase I was going to buy a mini monitor to take with me but now not necessary.

Very Cool tech, room for improvement
I love that this exists. It allows me to use iPad as external monitor and use Apple Pencil to interface with full Adobe suite on my MacBook. It is a little buggy... the hardware itself doesn’t seem to connect about 2 out of 3 times...it seems like maybe there is an unmarked top or bottom? Or it’s struggling with the port on my brand new Mac? Not sure, but so far I need to remove and reattach several times before it works. Otherwise, there are delays here and there with working in display...but it’s not prohibitive, just requires some patience, and ultimately worth it to be able to pair my Apple Pencil with my Mac.

Teleprompter Zoom eye contact heaven
The only way I’ve found to use my iPad under teleprompter so can screenshare zoom and look people straight in the eye. Game changer. Highly recommend.
