More features

Really liking the app however, we are limited to only 3 layers and donโ€™t have a track available to let us make full beats...

A track where we can layer and position everything would be so worth paying for

Love the updat

Great to see drums and bass in there now, I think this could be the start of something big!

The first mobile app that I would consider to be a mobile DAW.

Great work, Iโ€™d love to see more features!!

Response from developer

Thank you :D

Paid content is now gone

The OLD VERSION of this app was good & the PAID CONTENT was expensive but excellent! and then they changed it and now its all different PLUS THE PAID CONTENT NO LONGER EXISTS.

Guttered and broken

The new stuff looks good but who knows if they will change it again

Response from developer

Hi, If your paid content is gone, could be for example if you delete the app and reinstall it you can always go to settings and do Restore purchases to get your paid content back. Kind regards, Hanna

Nailed It Creatively, Few Technical details need ironing.

Reason, from the first time I used it infused my ideas with a creative energy I could not get from other DAWs. This though is soo game changing and on another level. I like my tools to not dictate my creativity but rather to inspire it and propel it forward without getting bogged in technical details. This app smashes through that goal as I can go from hearing a melody in my head and having a very good sounding sample all from the palm of my hand, now thatโ€™s how you make technology get out of the way of creativity.

One caveat, I find the app a lil bit finicky with my phone OS. It crashes a lot, especially when I try to export projects, Iโ€™m hoping this can be fixed.

Also, if you log out after signing up YOU LOSE ALL YOUR PROJECTS! Which defeats the entirety of the accessibility this app is trying to reach for. Please let me keep my projects, the ideas I lost were really cool. Thereโ€™s absolutely no way I could figure out how to restore my projects so that really makes me unsettled. What if I want to pull up something Iโ€™m working on, on the go and I find out somehow I got logged out and I have to start all over again. Reason youโ€™re onto something here, but please fix that.

Response from developer

Hi, Your feedback makes us very happy. Your projects should not be deleted if you don't delete the app and reinstall it. If you experience crashes please report it on our support forum and include steps to reproduce so we can see what cause the crashes. We have fixed a couple of crash bugs that will come in 2.1 but that was when connecting a midi keyboard and used a low octave for the drums or when you browsed your own sound pack and only had one sound. Kind regards, Hanna

Making progress

Nice to play with on the train etc. to export to other apps or desktop. I like the iap sounds but think the iap upgrades for the drum and bass are relatively expensive.
Hopefully it will continue to progress.

Love it, live it, make it..

Thank you propellerhead, have been a fan since my 1 mac powerbook..,lol
Seriously have found tons of awesome innovative ideas thanks to the great work you guys do.. the updates on here look and sound amazing.. plus the new edition for computers also is just insane.. really stoked.. I just love being able to use it as a digital Rack, and still record on AB live and logic..So ready to embark on this amazing symphonic power house.. much respect keep it up.. we all really appreciate your hard work.. Bless all of you, I can tell that lots of love and soul have gone into this bad boi
Much respect ๐Ÿ’Ž๐ŸŽน๐ŸŽง
Ps
Saving your music has always been possible.. for use your head.. a lil in out split aux but that not even needed these days just run it as a vst and I have been able to record melodies and more from my phone to my Pc running LIve AB , it also records right into GB.. and you can save the loop from there.. but I recommend beefing up that sound on GB you they have great mastering apps.. ppl donโ€™t even believe that it was made on a phone.. I love to use everything real, analog, digital , and bring the best out of all of it.. love music!! No lame coach breathing dwn your neck.. music is a door you have to chose to open.. no one is going to make you.. keep it pure and have fun.. bless u all

Almost Reason

Updated review: The addition of drums and bass is a step in the right direction. Hope to see more usable features, not just nickel and dime-ing us with sound packs.
โ€”โ€”
Give me Kong and a sample device (Grain or NN-XT), and parameter automation to at least bring it in line with Figure and I would pay triple and buy all the soundpacks. Also proper exporting to Reason. Once we have that, it can truly be called Reason and I will change my review.

Thanks, Hanna. A proper export would be midi data and audio data able to be airdropped and opened directly in Reason. Allihoopa is not flexible enough in its current implementation.

Nice update, should I expect more? I dunno.

I appreciate the care that went in the last update new instruments and overall tight interface. However without a pattern sequencer in the Europa and Monotone modules its hard to tell if this update is incomplete or by design. So, it's kind of difficult to judge how much to invest in time and iAP depending on the application road mapโ€”Will there be additional features, multiple patterns, song mode, mixer etc OR is it as full-featured as it's gonna be, just companion software that's limited and knee-capped like Figure?

Figure is better

It's like Figure but with an less pretty and less intuitive interface. Also the vertical midi roll feels weird. Automatic screen rotation like in figure would make more sense. The sounds are all very good though. Plus the added controls and FX are great!

As a Reason user, this is a letdown

Iโ€™ve been using Reason since 1.0. I have bought every version and even supported other programs such as Recycle and use rack extensions. I am now running version 10 and have the new compact instruments. Made a few tunes with the new synths, works well enough. Thought I would try out the phone interface. $9.99 to unlock Europa?, another $9.99 for the bass synth too? Oh, another $9.99 for the drum machine? Then I canโ€™t forget about the 7 or so $0.99 little add ons either. What kind of cash grab is this? I have the full version of Reason 20 feet away, but now I need to โ€œunlockโ€ items on my inferior playback device? I can use Reason by signing in to any computer with reason installed. Are you really going to hit us with micro transactions?

Propellerhead Software, I know you have a business to run, money to make, and employees to pay, but if you keep down this particular path of money grabbing, you will lose a supporter. That might not seem like much, but I am doubtful I am alone in this sentiment.
Please release a version of this (compact) that at least recognizes already paid users of your software.
