My favourite note taking app
I have been using Noteshelf for several years now, and it remains my favourite note taking app.
It syncs seamlessly between my iPad mini and iPad Pro, so I always have my notes to hand.

I love this app. I always take notes and have to do lists. Now I can organise them into different categories. The best feature is being able to crop and edit photos so easily.
Recently, it has started to update each notebook when I open a new one, which is a bit annoying. Perhaps because I have so many.Show lessSaved insomniac

Hi Team,
I’ve been using Noteshelf and GoodNotes for a couple of years now. Both are very good. They have points that each are better at.
I particularly enjoy the writing on Noteshelf. I love the calligraphy pen (best bit).
I wish Noteshelf would copy the way that GoodNotes can:
1. Double tap on the page to zoom in and out to page width.
2. When either in full page or zoom-window you could set a user-defined size (level of how much you are zoomed in). Maybe double tap to scroll through full page-page width-user defined.
3. Sort out the search function. It’s ok for titles, but nowhere near as good as GoodNotes; can’t global search for handwritten notes. This is the main reason I use GoodNotes for work uses. Search function is crucial.
4. When drawing a shape around a word (so as to highlight it as a title), need to be able to edit the shape and change its 4 dimensions to enable you to fit it to the words/ space. At present you can only change its overall size.

I have used Notshelf for almost 2 years now, and am always impressed by their updates. I primarily use it for work, to take notes during client meetings. I do wish that the audio recording can follow along with where I left off in the notes. They have a ton of free note templates that fit my needs: calendar, cornell style note page, task list, etc. I wish I had this app when I was a student in undergrad. The Best
I have used Noteshelf since 2012, beginning with Noteshelf 1, which is when I effectively abandoned physical notebooks. I thoroughly discontinued use of note paper with the advent of Noteshelf for the iPhone. This is, unequivocally, my “go to” note taking app. I have been a walking advertisement for Noteshelf, as I am continually asked “What app is that?” I recommend Noteshelf to anyone who asks! Even for each of my grandchildren, from whom I have computer drawn artwork, some from as young as 18 months.
The Noteshelf capability is so multi-faceted and complete. They leave very little to the imagination. If you find a feature that you’d like to have added, just send an email requesting it. I’ve done this for several years. I send requests for features I encounter in other note taking apps. I describe the feature and provide the app name, so the Noteshelf developers can experience exactly what I want. I’m telling you, over the years, I have seen them add every feature that I’ve requested. I’m sure I wasn’t the only one requesting, but it’s certainly wonderful to feel as if you’ve been heard.
If asked, I would describe myself as a “come-back-every-time” loyal Noteshelf customer. I continue to try new note taking apps just to see what new features are on the market. Each time, I find myself coming back to Noteshelf within the free trial period of the new app.

Application est excellente et nous nous en servons beaucoup pour noter et documenter les actions de chaque jour et echanger des dessins croquis via email. Le seul point a ameliorer serait de prevoir une datation de chaque page, date de creation et date de derniere modification qui pourraient apparaitre dans le bas de la page et qui pourrait aussi servir lors de recherche par date. Peut etre aussi avoir la possibilite de creer un automatisme pour associer des mots cles a chaque page.
This application is really helpful for us and allows to exchange sketch via email and to take daily notes. It could become even better if there was an automatic datation on each page giving the creation date and last update for example, and it would also benefit having a popup window that would allows us to put some keynwords. All of these modifications would be beneficiial especially when it comes the time to find some oldest notes. I take over 1000 pages of notes and sketch each year and my biggest challenge is to find my notes back after couple of months. Keywords or date would then ease my search.Show lessjim1208691024

Thank you for your feedback! Pls note that we do provide the date stamp within the Tools icon / Notebook Settings of the notebook toolbar. And by a 'popup window', do you mean to request for something like a post-it on the page to put in extra notes? If so, kindly take note that this option is available even now. You just need to tap on 'T' icon-tap anywhere on page to open up the text box-tap on the first icon on the top left hand side of the iOS keyboard to change the background color of this text box-resize text box using the small triangle provided at the bottom right corner of the text box to make it a post-it note. Try out as suggested and let us know if you have any queries (you can reach us directly from inside the app via Gear icon-Support-Contact Us-Send Email option).Very good app
Does pretty much everything I want. The only thing I would love to have is a light yellow background-aperture template, like Good Notes has. Otherwise, highly recommended.Westlakesshore
so easy to use and intuitive
I love Noteshelf, I use it every day for so many things, I don’t see myself using paper and pen ever again!
It’s intuitive and easy to use, it organises the notes logically and feels nice to write with. Having so many pen/pencil options choose from is great and I love the ability to use different paper types in one document, that was really important to me. Turning pdfs or photos into a page is also simple to do. I also chose Noteshelf due to the recording feature, but I haven’t actually found a need to use it yet.
I definitely recommend Noteshelf, I couldn’t be without it now.Show lesspenelope xxx
My favorite app,
I literally use this app every single day, and it’s never disappointed me even once. I journal in it, schedule in it, take book and class notes, and even use it as scratch paper so I never lose anything.
I love writing rather than typing, and the fact that this app can recognize my writing and search through it when I forget which notebook I left something in is amazing.Show lessJenzie_c
Simple and effective
I like Noteshelf for reading and marking up pdfs better than other apps as it suits the way I work. You can turn the pages like a book, and you can use the pencil easily to mark it up without having to turn it off to turn the pages as you do with Adobe.Dvjfsxnkldvjdjcsf
