Absolutely Delightful

The way this app organizes and displays the media I want to keep track of is so much fun! I especially love how the media's cover art pops onto the screen at a slightly random tilt when you select an item, it feels like a book is being pulled off the shelf and tossed onto the table. Little touches like that go a long way to how tactile this app feels to use.

With the new update, I can now keep my own little archive of reviews, notes, and wishlists that feels WAY better to use than an excel spreadsheet. Not to mention the Widgets, which look fantastic! It feels like how the old Apple Books app felt back in the old days of IOS. Give this app a try, it is the best version of this app I have used!

Sofa

Hopeless, non-intuitive. After three days of trying, have only been able up add two items. to a list. (One was erroneous).
App seems focused on searching but keeps on telling me there is nothing to search!
I wonder why?
The big plus sign is misleading. What’s it for?

Love the concept, not a fan of the execution

Seeing as how most of the books I want to read are not listed in the search function, I have to add a custom book - no biggie. Except for the fact that every time I select the list I want to add my custom book to, the app crashes. Add that to the fact that I can’t add an image for the book or even add the author name, format or anything that I would find useful for cataloging and organizing my to-do media.

I wanted to use this app instead of my notes to track everything but with the app crashing constantly I don’t see how I can.

Additional pet peeve is that you have to be detailed and enter your search before anything pulls up. It doesn’t query as you type leading to a lot of scrolling and hunting after typing the full name of the media. Its wasted time, energy, and makes me not want to add things, especially in bulk.

The app I never knew I needed

First, an admission, I watch a fair amount of television and try to look out for what interesting shows and movies are coming up. I then makes lists of what I want to watch, with separate lists for my wife and for us both together. This app was made for me just to keep up with my lists. The bonus is the icon to go with the title, the summary so I can remind myself what show it is and the streaming service it’s on. I have not expanded yet to books or games.

Thanks for taking the time to write such a nice review! I'm really glad to hear Sofa is working out for you.

Love this and hoping to see…

I love this so far, easy to use, visually pleasing etc. I think it could be even better if you could add places to go like eatery’s, stores and activity oriented spaces. Not sure what it would mean to include this but one way could be adding the ability to create a custom list with icons or photo upload options. If I missed this capability let me know! It would be awesome to have all my lists in one app like this one. Thanks for making something great :)

Relax with a purpose

I recently created themes for movie nights — picking specific genres or decades to watch from. This year, I’ll watch my way through my 80’s movie list. I’ve already got movies queued up for each month. 80’s Summer blockbusters, Halloween thrillers, and Holiday classics (Gremlins or Die Hard anyone?).

Preparing watch lists in Sofa has focused downtime. I’m no longer scrolling through endless libraries from streaming providers, only to go to bed after watching trailers of movies / shows I end up never watching.

MY FAVOURITE APP IN APP STORE

I love Sofa, whether u want to organize books to read, shows or movies to watch, apps ur interested in, etc. this is the app for u. An awesome awesome awesome app!

Price!

I would consider this app if it was cheaper but as it stands is way too expensive for what it does. Alternatively, lista is a much cheaper option.

Great app, insane pricing

This is a very well-designed app with just the right number of features and a good UX/UI to feel complete and usable.

Having said that, the developers want to make us believe that their app is worth $180. It is not, not even close. In cases like this, which appear to become more common these days, I like to remind everyone that the universal license for Affinity, all of their apps on all platforms, is $165.

Sofa is a trivially simple app compared to any of the Affinity tools and should be priced accordingly. I would at most want to spend $10 for something like this, but certainly not $180 or $4 / month. Someone needs to rethink the value proposition this app offers. There's absolutely no reason why this should be a subscription-based app.

Determining the price for any product or service is tricky. What’s reasonable for some, is simply too much for others. The value and worth is something each person will judge for themselves. I think Sofa’s current pricing is fair and reasonable, but I completely understand if you don’t agree. I hope you’re able to still find value and enjoy the free experience in Sofa.
