  • This game + me = Richard + VR on Silicon Valley

It might just be me, but I feel sick when playing this. Things bounce around and there’s a shakiness that makes me turn off the app before I finish a game.

I haven’t heard many people have the same complaint. Maybe I’m just the anomaly. I haven’t had much luck with other AR games... so maybe it’s not for me. I’d suggest people try out a free AR game before spending a few bucks on one... just to see how they feel about the whole thing.

  • Crash crash crash

I have the newest iPad Pro 12.9” this game crashes every single time about 2-3 min in.

    Developer Response

Hi! Thanks for your feedback. We many know what is causing this. A bug is causing some players on 12.9" iPad to crash. It is a sneaky one as we cannot very rarely reproduce it. Can you please reach out to us directly at support@directivegames.com to help us? We think we have found a way to squash this but want to verify some things with players that have experienced the crash. We would really appreciate - we want to have the game running smoothly for you and for anyone else affected by the same symptoms. Thanks!!!!
  • A great AR experience with solid dev support

New: I got through the tutorial and the game is great fun. Thanks dev. Need a good size table for it all to fit but it doesn’t really need a table (I mean it’s AR).

Original: Very buggy tutorial that wouldn’t progress. (Fixed in recent patch)
  • Great game for iPhone 7p

    Such a great experience!
  • Does not align on my big table

I bought this because past reviews said it was awesome and that updates really improved this game, but I downloaded this game on my iPhone 7s plus and my 12 inch iPad Pro and it does not align on my table properly. There’s no way to make battle field smaller. The border does not let you shrink it. This field is much larger than my 3 1/2 by 3 1/2 foot table. Therefore this game is not enjoyable because playing field is over the edge all the way around my table. Hope this can get fixed soon so I may enjoy it. Then I will give it 5 stars.

  • Interesting, but crashes.

The game crashes everytime I try to destroy the last piece of monument of the enemy, the energy source or something.
iPad Pro 10,5, latest version 1.1 of the game.

Will this game get diversity or is it as simple as pointing the screen ? It will get boring.

    Developer Response

Hi! We have just released version 1.1.1 which fixes a number of issues. At the same time, we have also identified and are testing a solution for a bug that was affecting some players on iPad Pros. A fix will be out shortly as soon as we are done testing. In fact we would appreciate your help with that if you could. Would it be possible to reach out to us directly at our support email (support@directivegames.com)? We really appreciate comments from the community as it helps making the game better, so please keep them coming!
  • LOVE IT

I loved it but I don’t like the fact how even though I destroyed ALL of the enemy towers I STILL lost. This game is worth the money and I really enjoyed showing it off.
You should make a feature that you can customize your characters to look how ever you want.
  • Almost there guys...

I really hope you actually take time to read this. I have 3 stars for the reasons as follows.

    1. Please, please, I beg of the developers to add an option to toggle a zoom feature, because I feel a good amount of the player base has trouble handling the phone or would at least appreciate a zoom feature without using physical motion forward and backwards. I knot that this is possible for the simple fact that the standard camera has a zoom function. Just utilize it.

2.I do enjoy the characters and the graphics are great. But the ai system 🤔 not so good. A player who is well educated in mobas would appreciate a decent ai system in a single player setting. Give meaning to the game with some action wanton story with certain scenario is maybe. Idk. Maybe a little much but I know it’s there. I also know that this system could bring the MOBA genre into the light. So much of our new generation plays on mobile now. It’s the perfect market to get new ppl in the community.

In conclusion, I do appreciate you takin the time to actually read out a wanting to be loyal fan of your remarkable make of a game. I truly can’t wait to hear back and hope to eventually give this piece of art what it deserves.

Hi Shade22! Thanks a million for your feedback. We love to hear players' comments and not only take the time to read it, but we also discuss it internally and it has impact on our design choices, implementation and it helps us prioritize among the list of features we are bringing to the game. We have been somewhat reluctant so far to fall back to pinch and zoom as we feel that the ability to control the camera and players' spatial awareness are really interesting aspects of AR gaming. With that being said, you do make a valid point, and we realize that zooming could be useful to gameplay, especially when the map is laid down in more confined space. We will discuss and brainstorm internally. Secondly, the AI. Yes - it is be revised, refined and improved on. And it is marked with priority. Clearly the game is inspired by MOBAs and while we are innovating on some mechanics, we do want to make sure that we include and perfect for AR some of the more traditional mechanics. Thanks for caring about the game. We are super passionate about The Machines and will continue to work hard to improve upon what we have built so far. Feel free to reach out to us directly (support@directivegames.com) to provide even more detailed feedback. The more the community is engaged, the better the game will become. Thanks!
  • Looks amazing!

The Machines looks amazing. The way they utilize AR and weave it into their gameplay is a brilliant way to immerse the player and making them feel like the general in an epic battle. If you try one AR game this year, let it be the Machines.
  • DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

The graphics on this are atrocious! Blocky and laggy. I also have no idea how to play it. There are no instructions!
It looks nothing like it looked on the Apple Keynote.
    I want my money back!!!!!

    STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM!
