What every humidor needs
I use two of these units within a cigar fridge made by NewAir, one at the top and one at the bottom of the unit. The range, reliability, and simplicity of the units and accompanying app is unbeatable for the price.
My only point of contention is that in order to review data away from your home you need a proxy Bluetooth/internet capable mobile device to daisy chain. It would make a lot of sense for the company to focus on developing a WiFi push feature that could connect to your internet or sync with a desktop/laptop so you could access the info anywhere. While you don’t really need to know if your cigars are in mint condition when you’re at the grocery store, it would be a nice feature.Show lessjoshw8140

Not a worry in mind with the boveda butler keeping a watchful eye on my cigars. Calibrated easy as ever and has been consistent with the backup hydrometer in my humidor for about 2 weeks now. And with alerts for low and high humidity levels I don’t even have to lift the lid to know when my packs are dying out!Show lessNate Keech

I am the developer of the PerfecDraw, PerfecRepair and several other products currently in development. But when it comes to monitoring the conditions in any type of cigar storage or holding device, Boveda knocked it out of the park with their Boveda Butler - so I certainly won’t be even thinking about creating something like this. Fantastic accuracy, and finally, peace of mind for those of us who have stressed out wondering if our very valued cigars are being properly maintained. And for only 20 bucks?!! Wow! No brainer!
Thanks Boveda for the March update 1.3.3. That solved the slow load and missing hourly data issues that I was having.
This app now works as hoped for thus the 5 stars. I think all the low ratings for this app were because of those issues. If you were hesitant to use the Boveda Butler because of those reviews you should reconsider. I purchased the Boveda unit to replace a digital hygrometer that was working fine for over a year and then flaked out and wouldn’t calibrate. The benefits of automatic alerts and the ability to check my humidor status without opening the lid is awesome. The automatic calibration routine is slick. Couple those benefits with the reduced cost and that it comes with the Boveda calibration pack the decision to use it should be a no brainer!Show lessVitoV56
