Sadly had great potential just didn’t carry through
Had a great campaign and vision, yet as soon as they got your money, they didn’t care for updates or communication. The software contains bugs and can’t handle any form of recording data. Would never want anyone to waste money or ‘time’ on this product...
Matrix powerwatch
It’s is Really Sad to have a brand New Matrix watch Sit there alright ~ I got my 2yr ago too~ and it dies on me~ And I travel a lot, when I got back & I had to ship to theManufactory to replace a new one because it doesn’t work, so when they shipped me a new one or use, In a week later it’s dies again!!!!! Therefore, I have no idea what kind of watch they gave me or is it still the same one that I ship them, But the Situation is that the $300 something Watch is NOT WORKING as it Supposed to be. I Am veryDisappointed at this manufactory and they’re not doing anything about it to help me,
I Sure did contact them again, But there’s No one to be reach~ Very Very Very SAD!!! People I really got Robbed!!!!😔

Great Device
At the beginning there are some bumps in the road. But with patience the device and software have gotten better. Would I like more feature yes. But as a step counter, sleep monitor and general watch it works great. And the device does charge from my body heat. It has been a number of months since I had to reset the watch via the charger module thanks to the updates. I just wish the first devices are not forgotten as the next series is released.

Poor software quality
Well, I’ve been very displeased so far with the performance of the PowerWatch X. I had gotten it for Christmas and right away was having connection issues with my iPhone Xs. I contacted support, sent in the watch as it was not giving me any notifications, or syncing. Two months later I have a brand new one as the one I received for Christmas was determined to be defective, and I still don’t get notifications on it, but it does at least sync with my phone. The software, if that is indeed the issue, NEEDS SOME MAJOR WORK! I’ve not tried using it for a run yet, but I would think that would be pointless to try at this point as there is no syncing with any of my run apps. The Apple Watch is much better.

Absolute garbage
Junk, no support, and frequently needs to be connected to power. Get a functional smart watch or a “dumb watch” that actually works.
Still feel robbed and misled.
And what happens with your first supporting base?
Wouldn’t it be great if you had used at least some of the money to write a minimally decent app?
The disparity between the two sides of the tech involved (hardware and software) is staggering.
Metaphorically, it feels like Tesla has to design a product that Homer Simpson is coding for..
It doesn’t matter how long we wait, the same “please back us” speech never delivers past the horrendous user experience, off-the-chart bugged software and lacking promised application in real life (beyond fund-fetching campaign videos).
The inaccuracy of the data and the risible amount information displayed is just embarrassing.
Eventually we all fall for a not entirely honest pitch and I still feel robbed with the X.
Why not simply remove that app and use this one to accommodate the Powerwatch X whenever possible?
Without actual/usable function, charge-less devices are pretty much the same as a cool and expensive paper weights.
As of now, a 20$ Chinese Mi Band does a lot more for a lot less money, WITHOUT bugs and delivering on what’s promised.
Does this bother you at all?

Refuses to connect
Like many others, I too was one of the many early adopters who liked the concept of the powerwatch.
But the current iteration of their app (among other things) leaves much to be desired and the watch sitting to the side. I just had to redownload the app to try and get it to reconnect/sync with the watch since the connection had broken. Well apparently it’s completely broken and now it’s no longer a smart watch...just a watch. This happens frequently for me...and have tried their c.s.

Not happy
Great watch but useless app. No updates for more than a half year now and customers left with buggy and disappointing app.
POS!
I was one of the first to sign up for this terrible crowdfunding disaster. Two years late and when it finally arrived it had stripped out functions compared to the other brands had. Its biggest selling point was it never needs charging - BS! It barely charges in hot weather so if you live in a hot climate - forget about it. I replaced the band with a metal type in the first month as the stupid rubber one ripped. Worst watch I’ve ever bought. I canceled my account at Indiegogo over this and other rip off crowdfunding disasters. You should read the poor responses on Matrix’s Facebook page - you’ll forget about this dumb not ready for primetime technology!

Unhappy owner 2
I can’t agree more to what the Unhappy Watch Owner says! I bought the first model, whose battery kept draining to the point external charging with a thermal charger was needed to turn it on. I didn’t use functions much and wore it all the time. So it’s BS that “you never needs to charge this watch”! I also got the original model replaced through the warranty program, but it’s not any better than the first one. It keeps turning off by itself, and I have to remove/reinstall the app again and again. Not pairing to the watch easily. So many attempts and failure. So frustrating. I never wrote a review for anything before, so that tells how bad it is!!! It’s so not recommended to buy it.
