Good idea, poor execution

The app takes forever to sync, if it happens at all. I liked the idea of it, but the execution of it seemed to leave something to be desired. Maybe work harder on the app instead of trying to sell more watches, then maybe sales come once the app is running smoothly.

Piece of junk you will throw in the dresser drawer

After months and months of attempting to get the watch to pair and stay paired to the app and working with Jas at matrix, they sent me a new watch. This one won’t even start the pairing process. Not only is the app completely worthless, the watch is even more worthless and will eventually get you to the place of frustration where you just throw it in your dresser drawer with your old Mickey Mouse kids watch as it is no more useful than that 30 year old analog Disney watch.

Worst app ever

Have 2 watches from them and just sad they can’t get it together to provide service to their customers. Cool technology but always something wrong and never fixed just horrible. I never write reviews but I can’t take it anymore.

Works half the time

Very basic app with a lot of problems.
About half the time it will not sync lose all of my data off the watch when this happens.

Also it dose not work with any other apps so makes the info not as user friendly as other options.

I do like it as a watch though just a shame there are so many issues with the app

Absolute rubbish

Bought a matrix power watch black ops version last week, synced with app and it worked fine (apart from nearly doubling my step count).
Then I updated the firmware only to find out that I could no longer sync the watch to the app and every time I try to sign in, the app just crashes.
Sort it out please ASAP and let me know when you have because at the moment it’s just a lump of expensive useless metal.

Fails to sync

Constantly fails to sync and have to frequently reset the watch. I loose all my steps which is very frustrating. Buy a Fitbit instead, at least that never fails to sync

Don’t buy

This watch is actually horrible. I bought mine before Christmas last year and I’ve been using it ever since to actually test how well it works. Well the watch doesn’t work at all like it’s supposed to. It died on me over three times now, it will not connect to my phone and I spent way too much money for it not to connect to my phone. There are no watch faces on mine like there are supposed to be, and this feature came out months ago. I also can’t update my watch through the app whenever it does in-fact connect to my phone. This is a great concept but the wrong people doing it, with horrible customer service and many lies hiding what they are actually doing.

Do not buy PowerWatch 1

I bought the PowerWatch1 when it was in its test stage. It took a year for it finally to be delivered. After I received it, it kept on loosing power. I was told by the tech support to reinstall the app and they re-sync it. This happened a number of times until they asked for me to send it back to them. They sent me another watch. This is happening again to the replacement watch. The latest app version gives you the option to pair the watch for less than a blink of an eye before it disappears. I have asked them for a refund, but they told me that their refund policy was only valid for 14 days after I received the watch. This version only has time, steps. calories. The app gives you distance. The light on the watch face is very weak. Do not buy this watch, as your money would be better spent on a more reliable watch with more features.

Horrible!

Not worth the money! Watch doesn’t ever want to pair dies all the time watch strap has broke twice now and iv only had it 6month. Screws are falling out of watch not happy at all with it and matrix won’t do anything about it they said.

Waste of money

As another reviewer here, I am an early backer on indigogo. I waited almost two years to get the PowerWatch X. Besides all those things mentioned by the others reviewer (poor light, can’t tell the time bc it is too dark, not enough faces-can’t tell the date). The software issues are the biggest problem. I don’t get notifications as it was advertised. The watch stops syncing after 7-10 days. So I have to unpair and pair the phone with the app twice a month or more often. The company said the issue was with my phone, but I tried it with a new phone for 3 weeks (with somebody’s else new phone) and the problem persisted. When I asked for a refund—within 2 months—they ignored my requests until finally they said “Your order had already passed the refund period of ours.”
The idea was right, but this company doesn’t care about making things right to their customers that supported them from the start. I use my regular Ironman watch than this watch.
