  • Love It! (Watch app has a bug)

    I love Grill Eye Pro! It connects to phone via Bluetooth and WiFi so I can walk around house and not be concerned about loosing Bluetooth connection. I use 4 probes so I can monitor the temperature for each steak during grilling. I can leave my phone on the charger and monitor temperatures with my Apple Watch as I walk around! The only weird thing is that the Apple Watch app shows temperature in Fahrenheit but shows a “C” next to the temperature denoting Celsius. I just ignore the C because the temperature reading is obviously Fahrenheit. I have tried change the settings in the app to see if I can trigger the app to switch to show “F” but it always remains “C”.

  • Excellent customer service!

    I’m into bbq and grilling for a while and the last 2 years I’ve been using GrillEye pro pretty much every single time with no problems! For the meats and the grates temp.
    Recently my device wouldn’t take a charge (or at least I wasn’t doing right) so I contacted customer support. They responded to my questions with the solution in LESS than 24h and now everything back to normal.
    Excellent product, very reliable in a very reasonable price and excellent customer support! Highly recommend!

  • Graph issues

    Graphing dosent work and the app says the firmware is up to date… it’s annoying…. The unit is solid and the probes are seriously accurate
    Fix the firmware please!!
  • Buggy app

    App is not stable at all. This device is barely usable and I’m about to return it.

    Update: thanks for your comments developer. Unfortunately the only way to fix the problem is for you to update the app. It has not been updated in a year! Lowering from 2 to 1 star.

    Some issues:

    1. Drops Bluetooth connection all the time
    2. Graphs don’t refresh even after resetting them
    3. Temperature reading drops by 30-40 degrees, then refreshes randomly.
  • Great customer service.

    While I had a little trouble with the software once, customer service was persistent and solved my problem for me. I’d give the customer service high marks.
  • Decent - But Buggy

    The app works as described, so overall it does what it needs to do. However, the graphs only work sporadically and other times don’t work at all. Also, when the probe reaches temperature it continues to give you alarms over and over again even after dismissing them. So these issues are quite annoying and hinder me from giving it a high rating. It does keep Wi-Fi connection and seems to track the temperatures pretty well. Otherwise, it needs improvement.

  • terrible app

    Update breaks the communication between the phone and the thermometer requiring me to uninstall the app and reinstall it entirely to get it to work. Graphs still don’t work at all. I don’t recommend the thermometer or the update.
  • Much improvement in app and support

    So it was thanksgiving day. I was having issues connecting to the cloud. I went into support and it actually offered a chat. Not only this but the technical support person Chris sent me a link to get on line and do a web session where he could see the phone and app and unit and what everything was doing. Turns out it was not connecting to the internet because of Amazon’s failure last week. Hours later it just came up. But Chris was patient and helpful. I do believe the application has come very far from the problems I have had in the past. It still has some corks with the graphs and still has some from getting disconnect messages after you have closed out which require you to remove the app and go through a process. All in all it’s come a far way and has gotten much better and their support was very good and very responsive and continues to me. I know they do care. The product is a great idea and when it works it works well for me. The magnet could stand to be a little stronger so it sticks to the grill. The notifications on disconnect could use some work. The graphs still seem slow at times or as you get through the cook on longer cooks. I don’t see this with other products. Hopefully they will keep making improvements. Thanks to Chris Vos for all his great support and responsiveness. I continue to believe in the product and what it can do. Thank you

  • Works great

    This had a ton of issues. The worst being the whole wifi and Bluetooth handover, and loss of connection when you locked your phone.
    It’s all fixed! The app works just as I would expect. No issues with disconnects when locking the phone or any other times.

  • My food was finished...YESTERDAY!

    So 24 hours after I’ve completed cooking my food (yes...it’s all gone and the dishes are done) my trustee GrillEye Pro app kindly keeps informing me that my food has reached the desired temperature! Oh, and apparently the grill was too hot too. Why do these phantom alerts keep plaguing me well after my food is complete, the temp probes removed, the unit put away, and the app shutdown?

    Another issue, my number 5 input was reading as 42F on the device screen but correctly reading on the app.

    Another issue, the app would not display the temp history correctly...it kept showing an incorrect single temp or only a very limited segment of a two combined temps - I’m puzzled.
