$10 app more accurate than 30k worth lawyers & surveyors
My family forced the auction of my father’s estate this year. The tax assessors office thought it was 45 acres more and the lawyers billed us thousands for a land abstract and agreed with the assessors number. I tried to tell them it was short but nobody listened to me or this app. They auctioned the land & the buyer had it surveyed twice, which we also had to pay for. All together we lost over 200k because this app was right & all the professionals were wrong. The only difference between 2 professional surveys at 13k a piece and this ten dollar app was exactly 1 acre of 399 and I’m willing to bet the app is correct & the surveyors are off 1 acre. Good app
I used Onxhunt for about 3 years before switching to BaseMap. I find that base map has a few more updates however there are several properties I hunt on that are not correct on the map especially if a portion of ground is split and sold. Some of these properties have been like this for over a year. I love the app I just wish it was tied to local GIS maps and properties owners. I find the local Indiana county gis maps are accurate within a month of a property changes hands. Beacon gis and local counties gis maps is what I have to verify with unfortunately.Show lessriley-farm
Can’t beat it!
I can seriously say I quit using other apps and exclusively use Basemap! The price point is way lower and quality is high. The features are amazing and they keep adding more! I’m a Basemap user for life. Love the smart markers and the hunt wind to check what stand I will hunt in the morning! If I could give it 10 stars I would. Plus who doesn’t love playing gear drop and having a chance at winning cool prizes every week!Show lessthe1musiclover
Great App for my Needs
When I go off road exploring I can usually cheat using the cell phone and Google Maps but when you lose cell service then what? A GPS unit works great but in remote locations those roads aren't shown... that's where this app fills the bill for me. I almost feel guilty about having a free account but basically it's all I need since I just load an area I'll be exploring in that day or weekend. Can't give enough kudos to the Support Team. They are knowledgeable and have resolved my issues a couple of times with VERY fast reply times. GET THIS APP... you won't be disappointed!Show lesshoma506

I love this app now more than ever!!! These guys are awesome!! It’s nice to see a company with a good head on it’s shoulders for a change. I really appreciate all the work they do and the sacrifices they are willing to make. Great all American company with awesome values. I’ve been using this app almost since it’s launch. Back then I was using it side by side with a competitor and for the last 4 seasons I have been relying solely on BaseMap for all my mapping and hunt planning needs. This is truly the “do it all” app for the hunter and outdoors enthusiast that wants that extra edge in the ever changing landscape of the outdoors!!Show lesscompletely jaded
Features don’t work
The app works great as long as your on WiFi, not so good when your in the wild! It’s really neat that BaseMap does a gear drop give away, however it is not neat to exclude a lot of people from receiving ALL the hints. Not everybody is a social media weeny! When gear drop first started, all the hints were available on the app. Not to mention the hints are absolutely ridiculous! Hint-it’s somewhere in the state? Come on!? I get paying for the pro version to get the hint, it is one reason why I bought a subscription. Now you have my $ and you’ve taken away this feature as well as other features of the app (the standings,etc)? I hate it when companies build up a good thing then start cheating their customers! Why pay for a subscription when I can’t access ALL the features of an app? I know it doesn’t mean much coming from just one person but I will not be renewing my subscription!Show lessjsahunter

Periodically apps require updates. I get that. This app will not let you use the app if a new version is available. I was up hunting, came back to town to gas up and headed back out. The little bit of service I got in town was enough to have a mandatory update but I didn’t have enough service to download the new version. I couldn’t even access my downloaded maps. This has happened several times now. Other features in the app are good. I suppose if you hunt where you have WiFi the app would be good. I will not be renewing this app.Show lessusmc307
Great so far
I love BaseMap so far. There’s a bit of a learning curve because there’s so many features and layers available, but it’s not too bad to figure out. The subscription is very cost effective compared to some of the bigger competitors and image quality is excellent. The best feature is the ability to save offline maps. That makes it so I’m not lost if my cell service goes away. Overall really impressed and I think it offers a great value.Show lessnatspo6061
Basemaps = the best map
I’ve been using Basemaps for over a year now and I couldn’t be happier with the entire application. It’s been the real deal in the field and on the water. I fish as much as I hunt, and this application goes the distance.
I alway know where I am at (public or private land/water access), I love the 3D map (online or offline), the weather features (wind and temp, etc) come in real handy, and the sharing and saving of locations is so easy it’s incredible!
If you don’t have Basemaps, I suggest you get it!!!Show lessckdurs
