  • Frustrating Set up

    After experiencing how simple smart home devices can be to set up, I am thoroughly frustrated and disappointed with the Halo Home products. I have reset everything multiple times and after 3 hours have not successfully connected a bridge and a floodlight to the app. I have the floodlight now connected, but as I make changes to the motion detection, it does not change the lights function. The save button in the app is not a save button quite yet. For a flood light that ran over $110 to purchase, I feel like I could have had a less frustrating and more effective light with a $35 motion led floodlight connected to a Lutron switch.

    Hkymn35 - I'm sorry your experience has been so frustrating. It sounds like you haven't commissioned the motion sensor to control the floodlight. The sensor is added to the app separately so it can control that one flood or a group of exterior/interior lights.   • Worked for maybe a month

    Had one of the adjustable Bluetooth lights professionally installed, had it for maybe a month. Once I set it to the temperature I prefer I left it alone. Today I walk into the room, turn the light on, and it’s completely different. I have tinkered with my Bluetooth on my iPhone XS, I have tinkered with the app provided by halo. The light is not responding at all. Halo makes good lights, but I guess they haven’t quite grasped how to make a dependable app or a dependable Bluetooth device. I personally would not recommend getting smart lights from them, nor would I recommend getting this app. I should’ve taken the high volume of dissatisfaction more seriously. Maybe by mid 2020 they will have this worked out.

  • OMG! This app is Sooo bad.

    I made the decision to buy these Eaton lights with the hopes of updating my whole house IN. SPITE of the comments figuring people didn’t know how to use it. Bad decision. At every update the app gets all fuggered up and looses devises (I have 6). Create a scene great, delete a scene.....I can’t find a way. Every three or 4 weeks I have to add all my devices again for no reason and it seems to “forget” my dimmer setting and I have to redo that (that might be the lights fault). Complete lack of control for last week so finally reloaded app....now it shows I have twice as many devices? What? Oh well had high hopes for halo products but definitely won’t be going through the house. I will probably toss these and eat the loss and buy another brand having the color temp switch. Lights shouldn’t be this aggravating

  • My app doesn't work anymore!

    I can confirm my app / lights are working with the latest update!

    After update, it doesn’t recognize my lights. Did a reset on the lights, app says to click on add. Log off and log on app. Add feature is greyed out and cannot be selected!
  • Great job!

    I’ve been waiting to do this review for a while as I really wanted to do a through test. I have replaced all my lighting with Halo home. I am extremely satisfied with the products. I also love the software, however, I must warn you...**WARNING** you will need more than a brain cell to set it up correctly, so if you’re a pothead I’d stick with lava lamps.

  • Bluetooth won't connect.

    I bought the 5"/6" downlight today at Home Depot. I installed the light and connect both wires (very easy installation). I downloaded the app, made an account, and clicked the add device button. Nothing showed up. I force closed the app, turned my Bluetooth on and off, and tried again. No luck. I tried again, but this time I switched the light off and on. Still nothing. I even performed a factory reset on the light and shut down my phone and left the app open for 10 minutes. Still no results. I wonder if it's a problem with my phone? I have an iPhone SE with iOS 12.1.4. I hope that this get's resolved soon or I will have to return the light.

Please ensure the you have a HALO Home light (model# RL56069BLE40AWH) and it is powered up before using the HALO Home app. Once you've powered a device, the app will find the Bluetooth light.   • Horrible App

    Every time I try to register it says login error check internet connection and try again. I had to end the app restart it and after multiple times trying, finally got logged in. However Bluetooth doesn’t work. Even after cycling power for the light and restarting phone and app. I even went outside and held it next to the floodlight, tried a few feet away, and then 10 feet away. I got it free from a lighting supplier as a trial item. Good thing, because I would have taken it back if I paid for it! It’s a bright light that I will need to put on a switch. Unfortunate that I couldn’t use the Bluetooth through my phone. You definitely need to work out the bugs, and thoroughly test product before shipping out!!

  • Great app!

    I installed the app easily and it was convenient using the bridge to connect via Wi-Fi so I can control all my lights through Alexa. Nothing better than walking in the kitchen with arms full of groceries and being able to say “Alexa, turn on the kitchen lights.” And they’re on just like that!!
  • Easy setup & use

    Very nice set of products and simple to use with Bluetooth from the phone. Note that you need to add the internet bridge for Alexa and Google Assistant.

    My favorite part is being able to link all my exterior lights to a single motion sensor.

  • Flexible & Easy-to-Use

    I was able to quickly and easily configure customized, grouped lighting arrangements in my garage without re-wiring. iPhone app is intuitively designed and simple. I’m keeping fingers crossed for eventual Apple Watch support.
