Sophisticated simplicity of Yoganotch

After practicing yoga with Yoganotch app and its set of motion capture sensors for the whole year, (over 300 hours) I appreciated a unique combination of the simplicity and sophistication of this invention. Here is the simple part: you choose a class on the app, put on sensors on your body so that correctness of your asana form is monitored during the class and follow the video with instructor’s guidance. Except for the sensors, this is what all other online, Zoom and yoga apps offer to the yogis. And then comes the sophisticated side of Yoganotch, which makes it so unique and effective: during your practice, as you move from Asana to Asana you receive immediate audio feedback on your form (“straighten your back”, “lower right thigh” etc.) it pauses the class giving you time to correct, and if you did well, it will praise you by cheerful “improving!” Sophisticated bio mechanical analysis, AI, knowledge of yoga techniques packed inside the device result in mind-blowing precision of the feedback and reliable safety of practice in the absence of the human instructor in the same room with you. After one year of practicing with Yoganotch I achieved what I could not imagine be possible: regained strength, flexibility and balance that I had ten years ago, the desire to return to the mat day after day because following your own progress is highly motivating, and because it is fun! I am also very impressed with the high quality of the device: after one year of heavy use my sensors work flawlessly, battery life is good, and the straps are holding as strong as on day one. Like everybody else, I plan to return to my yoga studio when it is safe, but I will continue using Yoganotch, it’s certainly a keeper, for years to come!

Hi Audrey! Thanks so much for sharing your experience of how Yoganotch is transforming your daily yoga practice. Congratulations on your Plank achievement! Holding it for an additional 3 minutes - in the correct form - is a huge difference!

“Your improving”, “That’s better”, “Good job”

It is like a yoga instructor any where are you go! Sometimes, I struggle with form. I get lazy or cheat the pose; the personal assistant encourages me on improvements. I am a person that needs reminders. The sensors identify my body alignment issues. Even small my new ones my live instructors don’t always see in class. The notches track my body maneuvering and see what I cannot feel. Plus, I get to review my practice for greater understanding. The notches elevated my at-Home yoga practice. I will definitely use more as more classes become available. The wearable sensors will benefit anyone who wants to start or build a better yoga practice.

Game Changer for my Yoga practice!

As an RYT 500 hr yoga instructor, I was pleasantly surprised by how much this device has taught me. During my practice it tells me, for example, when I need to “lengthen the spine”... and sure enough, I do! It also does NOT let me cheat on crunches...lol.

The Yoganotch customer service is outstanding. I had a few questions when I was deciding whether or not to invest in the Yoganotch sensors (the yoga flows in the app can be accessed and used without the sensors, btw) and they responded very quickly to my email. Customer support is always a major factor for me, and they passed with flying colors. When I were also quick to respond when I reached out with questions on setting up the technology and were also very open to my feedback.

I’m 61 and just learned to handstand this year, and the 5 Day Handstand challenge by Guest teacher, yogi, and physical therapist Lara Heimann was just what I needed to really perfect my form. I love that there is a 59 second handstand hold you can do with the Yoganotch sensors on to see how long you can continue to maintain your form in handstand. My goal is to be able hold a handstand for 61 seconds before I turn 62 in July of next year. ;)

This is a great product with developers who are open to feedback and really care about their customers. Plus, there are some great yoga flows on the free app from excellent yoga teachers!
