Terrible app

This app used to be good but no more. The wait time for a response is 7 days, but they don’t tell you that until you complain to customer service about the wait. It used to be quick and timely but no more. Cancelling my membership. I used this app for several years but it’s no longer a quality app. My suggestion- Don’t download this app and don’t use it. If I could give it zero stars I would. I submitted a request for a refill but it was so slow to even acknowledge the request. When I asked nicely what was happening they said the average response time was 7 days, which is ridiculous for health care. I don’t know what happened since this summer but they became a somewhat shady app not to be trusted. Update.. I tried to cancel my subscription but it won’t let me. This app is a scam now.

Hello Bunnygirl888. You're right - wait times continue to be painful, with patients waiting multiple days to speak to a clinician. You should have received a real time notification to all new cases telling you how long the wait is so you know what to expect as well as how to escalate anything urgent so you wouldn't have to go to urgent care or the ER (if you didn’t please let us know!). That said, if you cannot wait let us know. We are happy to escalate any concern - contact our Patient Support team who can help. You can also call us at (888) 613-4254 to speak to a member of our team. James

Do NOT use this app

People need to contact Apple Support and get this app removed. The company was good and prompt a year ago but not anymore. They give everyone the same response that they’re experiencing delays but do nothing to resolve it. It’s been going on for months. If they don’t have enough doctors stop accepting new patients but that won’t happen because they just want your money. 6 and 7 days for a response from a doctor ? Arguing back and forth for a week with customer service to get a simple prescription refill and waiting until you have no pills left before they do anything ? And now they have the audacity to raise the price of their membership . False advertisement!!!! There is no 24/7 care and your ads on the web about a 2 hour response are a complete lie.

Don’t know what happened!

I’ve used Galileo on and off since 2021 for medication management (and other smaller problems too as they arise). It’s been great and it helps a lot with social anxiety and remoteness as well: I don’t have to work up the courage to speak to a doctor in person, there’s no wait time, and my rural location is no issue for accessing medical help.
For years they have responded within 2-3 hours and everything has been speedy. Last week, however, I kept messaging them for a refill for my medication, and no response. Thought maybe I just slipped by their radar, so I messaged again. Still, nothing. It took me 4 days to get through them, by which time I ran out of medication, and my routine few-hour refill went on for days.
When I finally got ahold of someone, they told me their current response time is SEVEN DAYS. Just absolutely mind boggling. I’m unsure if they simply have more users or their doctors are quitting, but I’m just really disappointed for having stayed with them even after their monthly rate went from $9 to $29, when they clearly can’t provide help.
Of course if Galileo stops ghosting me and decides to actually provide a service for the money they take from my card, I am happy to edit this review to reflect their care towards their customers.

Hi lorifejes, you're absolutely right - we are not meeting your expectations or, frankly our own. We were all called to Galileo to serve our patients quickly, efficiently, and with the highest clinical quality so it pains us when long time patients cannot get what they need. To that end, we're doing everything we can to bring our service back to what you've come to expect - We’ve added 20% to our clinical capacity, and are hiring for our administrative teams as well. I messaged the care team and they expedited your refill this morning. Please let us know if you have any issues with your prescription. Thank you for sticking with us through this busy time. Carolyn

The app is very user friendly and easy to use

The app is very easy to use, the care and attention I received from the clinicians are excellent, they listened to me, and took much more time with me in a virtual appointment than many doctors do for even an in person visit. I have used virtual care/convenience care apps before, but many do not accept insurance and almost NONE are willing to do actionable paperwork like prior authorizations for medication, but they were willing to do all of it. They are able to get me lab orders somewhere nearby as well. I'm a relatively new user but everything has been so smooth with this experience, I feel like it has the potential to change a lot for the average healthcare experience (take time of work for in person, busy doctor rushing in and out, begging for paperwork, or worse, my last doctor charged me a $350 "administrative fee" that can't be billed through insurance to do an prior auth for medication!)

Not 24/7 availability, not good for urgent care

If you think you are going to be able to chat live with a physician about your symptoms like the description makes it sound, you are wrong.

I switched to this app from Dr on Demand because my insurance now covered this not Dr on Demand anymore. Worst mistake ever. At first it varied between a couple minutes to a couple hours for a reply. Then I was asked to take a home test and send pictures of the results. After I did that I waited for 12 hours. All the while worrying about my infection getting worse. When I contacted support I was told they were averaging a 72 hour wait for message replies! Not for the issue to be resolved just for a response to a message!

Use a different telehealth app or just go to urgent care. Either one is less hassle.

It’s James from Galileo. I know the wait times have been a bit longer lately - we’re adding more clinicians to speed things up. I’m having a hard time finding your account to reach out directly. Could you reply here or send me an email at support@galileo.io with “For James” in the subject? I want to make sure you get the care you need.

Overall great App until technical issue came up.

UPDATE: Technical issue resolved. Excellent and fast response from Tech Support. In summary it might have been some bug of sorts that got fixed after updating both phone and app.

I have been using the app for almost two years. I like it, it has helped taking care of my health a much easier experience and I only have praise for all the Doctors and Medical personnel. It is also very convenient and very user friendly. Recently however, there seems to be a bug or something that is not letting me log out. Such button is nowhere to be found, have looked everywhere on the app and I know I could do that before because of privacy. I was able to log out and log back in whenever I needed to use it. I have tried various things including deleting the app and downloading the latest version, power off, restart but the same problem persists. It worries me that somehow it automatically logs me in even after deleting/restart the phone. I am at this point very concerned about the privacy of my medical records and/or phone privacy overall. Any help with this will be much appreciated. Thank you

Large headache BEWARE

I wouldn’t recommend this app honestly I’ve been using it and I feel like I’m kind of stuck now. But you don’t get the same doctor every time, you get a new doctor and have to explain yourself all over again. there’s a bunch of miscommunication it’s like you have to fight to get your stuff straightened out especially if the pharmacy want more information because Galileo seems to have a hard time responding to them in a “timely fashion” save yourself the headache and find a primary physician then a specialist if applicable because Galileo causes so much stress and is really not that effective. And no this isn’t the first time I’ve had this trouble with them it’s multiple times…..

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS APP

This app has been a complete lifesaver.
My time is very valuable, All the doctors are super professional, and the customer service is very quick to respond. It’s a 24 hour service that allows you to ask general questions and get diagnosis on any health regarding issues. if you need to be outsourced, they recommend places for you to go physically. Medical records can be transferred to them and they can give you a breakdown and offer great recommendations for your care. Saves you time from going into the doctors office. They also always give great natural alternatives if you’re not wanting to take medication, or before you have to go that route.

Money pit with no real outcomes

This app is included with my insurance. They take up to 2 days to respond. They don’t listen prescribe things you just explained don’t work. Send you to urgent cares that don’t do X-rays for X-rays then send you to another urgent care to send you to a specialist to do more x-rays cuz those were the wrong ones to send you to another specialist $1000+ spent in 3 days and then tell you to go back to the first one.

If you get sinus infections often and it’s been like that your whole life, and you know what works for you and what doesn’t, don’t come here. They will just prescribe an expensive nasal spray for allergies when it’s an infection.

They ask you the same stuff over and over and don’t bother to take the time to read your responses.
