  • Pretty good but a few minor mishaps

This app works pretty well and I like all the ads ones you can add in to your photos. Only problem is you can’t adjust where the photos go when you put in a border !!

Second problem: When I started printing one day, when I tried to print a photo and it doubled it, meaning I wasted a sheet of the paper, that is pretty scarce where I am. Or it’s just really expensive. Anyways, I am just informing you guys and I hope it doesn’t happen to anyone else- but otherwise it’s a great app to print photos with!!

  • Awesome and portable

I watched several videos to check out different printers. I chose this one because of the reviews, the ratings, and the overall quality. Totally worth the investment. I don’t do large scrapbooks anymore (minimizing), but this was perfect for making a small photo album!
  • Shame on Canon

When this app works it’s great. Far too often the app show the photo sent to the printer (solid blue line) but never goes into print mode. The little white light will continue blinking away until the printer shuts itself off or runs out of battery. Cancelling print clears the queue but not the jam. Turning everything on and off and pressing the reset button also don’t work. The only way to clear this problem is to delete the app and reinstall — and sometimes you have do that multiple times. Canon is supposed to be a leader in this field. I’ve been using Canon cameras, printers, and copiers for years. Shame on you Canon for releasing this app.

  • I love it!

I love this app, it’s amazing! I use it with my mini printer I got for Christmas, and I have many photos above my bed! But my one thing is, I tried connecting it to my iPad, but it didn’t work. Please be aware my phone had already connected to it, but my phone was off, and my iPad had connected to it through Bluetooth.

  • Patience, Young Grasshopper

This app and the Canon Ivy printer overall are amazing! It prints great pictures and it’s so fun to use! The printer itself is the perfect size to travel with (compared to a bulky Polaroid/Fujifilm instant camera). However, maybe it’s just my phone, but the app seems to take forever to work—it takes a while once the picture is in queue to print and the “spinning wheel of doom” lingers on my screen for a while. Once it actually begins scanning and printing, it doesn’t take more than thirty seconds before I have a lovely little picture in my hand. I definitely recommend!

  • Pretty good!!

I got this item for Xmas and I printed off of a picture it turned out nice and smooth other comments are saying that it was blotchy, it might depend on your phone type or which mini printer you get. I would recommend not doing dark photos because they don’t turn out as great but this is a pretty nice app, it’s easy but I would recommend not using the filters, just my opinion.

  • A little clunky but does the job

I got my ivy printer for my birthday/christmas! Super excited to print some more in the future, just printed my first pic.
I will say that the app crashed 3 times the first time I used it. The third time it crashed I was using the photo editing feature, and lost what little edits I made to my picture.
Overall I’d definitely edit my pictures with the picsart app instead.
This is also a minor thing, but it would be cool if the app icon was a little more nice. It is a bit of an eyesore compared to the polaroid zip app icon.
But the printer itself is adorable, sleek, and super more convenient than a fujifilm camera. Just take your pics and print them wherever!

  • Do not be fooled by the Canon name.

As a long time (25+ years) Canon user (slr’s/dslr’s/printers)this product is hugely disappointing. With both the app and the printer, the bugs are just relentless, the reliability of the printer is poor and the quality of the prints is highly lacking.
Considering Canon are such a huge part of the photographic industry and their printers have a decent slice of the market this is just embarrassing. I understand the clarity of the print at this resolution is not going to be the standard I and many others take for granted these days but the colour control is just shocking. I would think in today’s age that Canon could include the ability to calibrate your screen to their app and product, as there is simply no real correlation between the 2.
You can compensate to a degree, if willing to spend 40-50p a time testing, but for the most part colours are very yellow, and print black and white the images come out blue, and black on any print is plagued by red dots.
    Shocking Canon, truly shocking.

  • Connection problems

Having trouble connecting. Very frustrating. I just upgraded to iPhone 11. And I tried to print a picture but it isn’t connecting to my device. It says it’s not compatible. Am I not going to be able to use it anymore at all???
  • Needs an update!!

I can barely connect to the camera. Once I connect to the bluetooth, and then go to the app, I can’t “find” the printer to connect to. I then have to go and disconnect and reconnect on my bluetooth and then restart the app for it to work. It’s entirely too much work to print pictures. Please fix because I love the idea and I love the camera itself. The app is just way too slow.
