Challenges...

Lovely fun game, only reason it’s not 5 stars is because the challenges are way too difficult to complete without spending about £50.

Better than AB1

The original was fun and simple. This is a true-to-the-original sequel with way more things to do. Well done yet again, SpryFox. If you think this is a kid’s game, think again. I use words like “monotheism”, “hexane”, and “eukaryotic” and still barely scrape by some challenges.

Please add a cheaper option to remove ads. $9 is too high. The ads aren’t super invasive but that’s just about the only glitchy thing in this game.

Love love love it

Super addictive and just hard enough.
So much better than the original!
I love how the feedback is being listened to!

Slightly better gameplay, but plastered with unskippable ads

The mechanics of the game aren’t a lot different from the first: make words, get bears. This one has tons of cute pop culture references and shows you which bears you might want to use on each level.

Unfortunately, it’s also overrun with ads. Literally every single level, you beat one level and then have to watch a long, full-screen ad that won’t let you escape until it’s over, before you can play one more level. It’s obnoxious. I’ve gotten tired of having to put my phone down and walk away between each level. Time to uninstall.

Mostly like, some dislikes

I will say that I do enjoy the app during downtime or when I just need to relax. The graphics are good and the music is soothing.

I like the fact that the game has challenges, level ups, achievements and so on. What I do not like, is the energy system. Playing a game gets more expensive (honey) the longer you play, and the energy system seriously diminishes the game for me. Also, I think $8.99 to remove ads is a tad steep. Don’t get me wrong, I play and I enjoy the app and I think developers did a good job here. But the energy system and the price of removing ads keeps me from a 5* rating.

Awesome Game

I loved the original Alphabear, but then got stuck on the same level for 3 years - not ideal!

I’m really enjoying the new version, it’s just different enough to feel like a new game, but has all of the elements I enjoyed from before. Thank you! 😊

Love the game but please rethink the limited honey

This game is brilliant! However now that I am at a higher level I am starting to find it more of a grind, due to the slow rate of replenished honey. I gladly paid for no ads and have got extra coins a couple of times, so have no qualms with supporting the developers. I have read the reasoning behind limiting the amount of games that can be played per day but I wonder if they tested this with players who got far into the game? It now seems the only way to progress is to wait for more honey and then grind through the school or daily events until you are lucky enough to level up your top bears enough, by which time there is hardly any honey left to progress through the main levels. I hope to see this adjusted in future, otherwise a highly enjoyable game could be spoiled, which I don’t think was the intention of limiting daily honey.

All the fun of AB1 plus all new fun!

Awesome!

Rather expensive

It’s a good game and I’d like to support the developers, but the no-ads unlock is too expensive, particularly as you still get ridiculous timers if you do so.

Fun and whimsical

I don't usually stick with word games but Spry Fox has done a really good job with this one, learning from the first one and adding progression, a little story and improving on the fun random mad libs after you finish a level. It’s been holding my interest and I look forward to playing a few levels as a break in my day. I wish the game had more social elements integrated into the game. I like that they added the subtitles but I wished I could see more of the words and sentences that other people have created. Definitely worth a try.
