Great Game

This is an amazing game with great graphics and a fun story to keep you just interested enough to play but not enough to be a problem or get in the way of the gameplay. The unique bears, tv time function, rechargeable honey, and special events add a little something that other games don’t have. I’ve only gotten one or two intrusive ads in the month or so I’ve been playing this game. I’m just wondering if you could have a feature to make your own levels or bears that can be unlocked by helping people out by, say, sending them honey. You could friend people and send gifts to earn custom bears. Or maybe there’s a different currency, say, candies, and you can pay a certain amount of candies to make a custom bear. Then you have different levels of items and accessories and powers. Common level stuff is free but rare, epic, and legendary bears cost candies. You can earn candies through tournaments and by competing with your friends. Overall I love the game, so do my friends and family, and I can’t wait to see what the developers have in store!

How long is this update fix going to take?

As a diehard fan I am already looking for alternatives
An update on the App Store may be an idea for the deserting fans?

Bad update

Do you guys even test your patches before you put it live? Game is broken due to update. And what’s with the excessive amounts of ads? Fun game at first but then upon completing chapter 1, after every story mode stage an ad is shown. That’s an ad every 2 mins. Do you really have to milk that ad revenue so hard? I would understand 3-5 stages and then a force ad was shown. Too many ad interruptions within the game. Game is fun though, when you can play it. Lots of potential, stunted by greed.

Can’t play it.

It just load to an ‘update now’ screen and won’t let me do anything. And there isn’t an update for it.

Best word game I’ve played

This is a smart, sweet spin on word games. Addictive, but not so addictive that you neglect the other parts of your life. I even sometimes use it to practice phonetic spelling with my 5-year old, who loves dressing up the cute little bears. Even though this is the best word game I’ve ever played, for Alphabear 3, it might be nice to have a little less grinding to level up bears for the later levels, and for there to be more later levels that go up in difficulty more slowly—the game loses some of its fun when you get stuck in one place for several days or a week. Also, I’m sometimes tempted to stay up until midnight to get honey lol. I’d say this is a huge improvement over the original Alphabear, which was great fun, and I look forward to being inspired and entertained by the Spry Fox team for a long time!

“Big Water”

I don’t frequently write reviews, but after I finished the first stop on level 3 and fell over giggling at the text, I decided I had to.
The first Alpha Bear game is fun; it’s one of the few I keep on my phone when the mood to play a word game strikes. However, it can’t hold a candle to this version. Spry Fox did a great job fleshing out various aspects to the game, such as the game board, the clothing feature, and the ways you can collect new bears. Those are, of course, icing on the cake of an already fun concept - Bearified Boggle, essentially, but with some hysterically clever text. The ads aren’t even as annoying as you might think they’d be (although I was more than happy to plunk down the coin to get rid of them and support this developer). In short, I am really happy I downloaded this. :)

Almost perfect

Me and my boyfriend have been playing this game for months now and we love it! I had an iPhone 8 Plus up until yesterday, and now having the XS I am having display issues. The majority of the top of the screen is not visible because of where the front camera and earpiece is on the new iPhones. It isn’t game breaking but it’s definitely not a fun thing! Hopefully it gets optimized for the X series of phones soon.

Chockfull of Ads

Pretty, but expect to see way too many ads. Not enough game to see if it was worth it to buy the ad-free option. Couldn’t put up with it so I uninstalled it. Maybe you’ll have better luck.

Why I stopped playing

This is a beautifully designed game. I love how the story mode adds an extra layer that was missing from the original. I played every day for a few months, I really loved the type of words puzzles they use. After getting to chapter 6, it was taking at least a week to beat each story level because I would have to level up the individual bears. I would recommend this game to anyone; but the story mode does get stodgy and ultimately is the reason why I have now deleted the app.
