  • Blank screen

    Every time I open the app for first time the it just displays a blank screen, so I have to close it and reopen it.
  • App hangs when phone is horizontal

    The app when started holding the phone horizontally hangs and has to be restarted. Since this is a security app so the phone can be held horizontally in the early morning or late night time. Why does it hang then? The app doesn’t have dark mode when all other companies support this now to save battery life on poor iPhones made by greedy Apple company. Also the App hangs many times when opening normally I guess it doesn’t find a connection to the server or the home transmitter unit. Please fix these issues soon!

  • Performance is not good

    We switched from Google Nest/Protect suite of cameras and recording when Google informed us that they were handing over their service to ADT. The durability of Google’s outdoor cameras was the main reason.
    However, now comparing the two. I have an Alula outdoor camera with water inside the lens. All of the cameras have a narrower field of vision than Googles, and the app performance is way behind Google’s. The front camera will “recognize” a flower pot as a person/pet/vehicle (I don’t know which it thinks it is) and I get 30 alerts, one after the other. I have all three sensitivity levels less than 3 and it still just goes. However, the side camera will give me an alert to a person AFTER they have walked 50-60’ through it’s detectable area and rang my doorbell. If I try to load the video, that can take up to a full minute. Sometimes I have to back out and retry. And the video is a finite snapshot. I’m unable to see what happened before or after the clip. So if someone walks up, waits 10 seconds and then throws a rock thru my window I wouldn’t have that footage. Also, I cannot review live footage and rewind. All you can do is see the live feed, and the 10-second clips.
    TL:DR the cams aren’t as good, and the app is not as fast , you can’t you see all video

  • Latest App update

    May5th. After your latest App update. Still occurs. Attention Alula app developers: using iOS 17.4.1 on a iPhone12. The app icon has a notification counter (red filled circle with white numeral for notification count). This does not go away, even when opening the app to review the notifications. My app currently shows 40 “unread” notifications. Another poster on the app feedback in the Apple Store is reporting same issue. Family is having the same issue as well. Suspect there is a bug with the app once iOS 17.4.1 was released.

  • No complaints until a recent update

    I’ve had this app for years and it worked perfectly to know when doors were opened and closed, turn off the alarm, etc. Nothing fancy but gets the job done well. Now after a recent update it keeps giving notifications that I can’t figure out how to view/clear. My app icon now has over 200 notifications I can’t get rid of. I work in an IT field and am typically pretty tech savvy, but just don’t see an obvious place to clear these in the app. It’s annoying to see 200+ notifications and not really know if there’s something real that needs my attention or not.

  • Nite button option

    I have found that if you select the “Nite” option, it is no different than the “Stay” option. I would think you would want it to set the alarm like the “Instant” option when using the keypad. If you select Nite and trigger the alarm it goes into countdown before setting off the alarm.

  • The system itself is fine. I have no written ins

    Instructions on how to manage, add, or change if necessary and the installer does not respond to calls. For instance, I want to add the application to my iPad and it will not accept it. I tried calling the installer and that was about 2 months ago and he has yet to call. This is the second time this has happened. I would never have bought the system if I had known there was nobody to take care of after the installation.

  • Does not work in iOS 17

    When you first install it, it works. Next time you open the app it does not work. It cannot connect to your alarm system which makes it basically worthless. I paid too much money for this nonsense for it not to work I had it working for a little bit after turning off Face ID and every other security issue and now it’s not working again. Can somebody please update this piece of crap app. Hello this is serious please fix and rest assured I will never use your hardware again!
