A Virtual Passport of Flights
Normally I never purchase subscriptions, especially in the settings of apps. However, as an avid aviation geek, I am thrilled to have come across this app. I have been able to coalesce all my flights together into this virtual platform. Some of the most salient features for me is the image of each aircraft for each of your flights and the information tied to each aircraft. I only hope that the developers can take it from here and add in more customizable features. One thing that I hope can be fixed is the ability to have all the image of the planes painted in that airlines livery. I have some flights added from a few years back that show up as blank/white aircraft. One other feature I hope to see in the future is the ability to map out your flights per airline or specifically out of a single airport. Again, I will continue to use this app religiously and can’t wait to see more out of it.

Excellent travel companion
I recently switched to Flighty after appintheair closed down. I am really impressed with the app so far. It is stylish, and the complications and widgets across all devices are both good looking and informative, making it easy to keep track of what’s going on while you’re in transit.
The flight tracking data on the 20ish flights I have taken has been spot on, often updating me before the departure boards or the airline report what is going on. I sat for nearly an hour on the tarmac three weeks ago knowing full well the flight was going to be cancelled while the pilot and staff were still telling everyone we were simply delayed, but the app knew. I already had a replacement flight sorted and was out of there rapidly on the last seat on the last flight of the day while everyone around me was stuck with the prospect of overnight stays and delays.
I had a couple of questions around getting my flight data and history migrated—the team were super responsive to emails, and have made changes to the app in a short space of time off the back of customer feedback and suggestions. That is a big win for me.
I have taken a Lifetime subscription. A dev team that cares, gets the job done and implements feedback gets my support.

Does not track flights properly
My flight from Toronto to Istanbul was delayed by 1 hour and 30 minutes, but the app continued to display it as ‘on time.’ This was inconsistent with other sources, including Google, which correctly reflected the delay. Accurate and timely updates are crucial for a flight tracking app, and this discrepancy was disappointing.

Great for Keeping Track of My Spouse’s Travels
My spouse’s job requires him to travel nearly every week. It was such a pain in the you-know-where to try to keep track of when he was leaving or arriving and if his flights were on time. The Flighty Friends feature has been a lifesaver. Combined with live activities and widgets, it’s now extremely simple to know his schedule. It’s also been a great travel companion for him: he can easily keep track of gate information, flight delays, and even the baggage carousel. He often knows of delays and cancellations before the gate agent even announces it which gives him an edge if finding an alternative flight. If you or someone in your family travel often, you need Flighty. I can’t recommend it enough. One note to the developer: My Lock Screen widget (the small one - not live activities) doesn’t appear to work. I have it turned on for Friends’ Flights, yet it doesn’t show anything.

Amazing!!
The best and most travel app out there. Worth every penny!
Fantastic app but data quality issues.
Fantastic app. Lots of love put into this and it shows. It really requires a premium subscription to get the best of the experience which is understandable. My main issue is data quality. Several instances of bad data such as missing gates, boarding times etc. I’ve also gotten warnings about seat and plane changes etc., only to find it’s fake news and irrelevant. A bit disappointed. The data lets the app down. Hopefully they can figure out how to improve the data.

The app is useless without subscription
The app is disappointing in terms of the non-subscription feature, which is none in my opinion. Seriously, not even the tail number? It tells you only your schedule departure time and that’s it.
Fantastic app for paid users
Fantastic app. Lots of love put into this and it shows. It really requires a premium subscription. I wish they would remove the free version because in free mode the app becomes annoying and unusable in many cases. It freezes on the subscription screen, is slow and glitchy, all around weird. But on premium it’s a fantastic experience. Kind of odd. Like they have deliberately coded it to be bad on free 😐

Great, but need works outside of the US
Listen, this app is clearly one of the best there is. The problem? The developers know this and their success has gone to their heads. If you offer any criticism whatsoever, no matter how constructive, on social media or elsewhere, the response is usually something arrogant or something along the lines of “we have the best data in the industry.” The issue here is that no one is attacking the app. It’s a fantastic app. They have to be able to take suggestions, though. Manual input has “been coming” for years now. Another issue is the inconsistent experience outside of the US. The cost of pro is the same outside of the US, but the experience is far inferior. I’m based in Europe and have paid for pro for the past 2 years. I just used it for 2 domestic US flights for the first time and the experience was shockingly good compared to what I get in Europe. I have no doubt that that is down to the availability of data in Europe, but the team also knows this. If your home airport is ex-US, then your pro price should be lower. It’s just greed and arrogance. I honestly do not see myself continuing to pay for pro until they can provide a consistent experience. If it weren’t for this and their social media interactions, I’d definitely rate the app with 5 stars, but customer service and interactions matter too.

Great app but annoying forced purchases
The app itself is really nice and well built with a lot of features, but unfortunately they keep pushing you to purchase the pro version. I downloaded it for a trip and wanted to use the base, free version as I am not a frequent flyer and it kept bombarding me with offers to buy their pro subscription to the point where I had to remove it as it was more annoying than useful. To the development team if you are reading this, you guys built a great app, but you don’t have to spam a premium subscription at every corner for basic users.
