Really amazing

Can’t believe that it’s a free app. It is my main music player app. My fingers are crossed for a future update that lets you repeat songs or albums.

would give 5

there’s some issues with the app like it crashed and when i tried to open again it wouldn’t and the album art for M4A files doesn’t show up but other wise it’s everything i’ve been looking for

Terrific ✌️

Firstly I’ll begin with saying “This is the best alternative to Apple Music” Decoupled is an application with an elegant interface and support FLACs.

It seamlessly works with iTunes File Sharing, OTA sharing and saves time having to re-sync music from different devices

But could use a few features that are commonly used (i.e Repeat/Shuffle)... if those exist that’d be great 👍

Plus could you put the playback in a little banner that expands when you tap it. Like in Apple Music 🎵. And adding support for Music Videos would be great.

Just leaving suggestions here. You’re the dev here and I’m a user aiming with suggestions to improve user experience 😁

Thanks again. Great app. Keep it coming with the updates 📱

Please add list songs by title

Great app, but the fact that I can’t search a song but it’s titles is a deal breaker for me :/

Absolutely perfect

This is the perfect music player. It is the only app I have ever found—music player or otherwise—that has NOTHING extra. No bells, no whistles, no ads, no subscriptions, no “upgrades”, no pop-ups, nothing that isn’t absolutely necessary and working exactly as advertised. It plays locally stored files, reads tags, displays album art, has a graphic EQ, and looks/feels more like a native iOS app than some actual native iOS apps.

Decoupled does the things you want it to do and doesn’t do the things you don’t want it to do. Period.

I cannot stress this enough: if you need a music player that Just Works, this is the one. You found it. Stop looking, stop reading. Get after it. 👍

Awesome work

Free w/ no in app purchases, dead simple, a clean interface and auto dark mode. I’ve probably downloaded 20 apps for my FLAC library and this is the best.

Pretentious gatekeeping rubbish.

There are no benefits to this app. The idea in the beginning wasn’t even what people look for. It totally goes against what we know music as nowadays. People stream. Get with it or get out. Music evolves and so does the way we listen to it. The description is the most pretentious gatekeeping attempt I have seen in a while. Totally removing the majority of music listeners from the user base, and going out of your way to prove that your app is the best because you don’t allow streamers?

And that’s before you even download the app. The user is expected to download (Or dare I say stream) to their device via FTP or through the web. I download my music to iTunes and then expect my new music player to at the very least sync libraries. You cannot listen to this streamed music offline, which was the whole point of downloading.

FTP is also quite a big security risk blah blah blah you should already know this but my point is not to go in the way of file transfer but the way that it syncs through an FTP client instead of iTunes which has much better support and is optimised for Apple devices.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback! I’m sorry to hear that Decoupled didn’t fit your needs. The usual workflow is to use iTunes or AirDrop to sync music into the app. The FTP and WebDAV options are made for scenarios when these are not available, e.g. using the GNU/Linux operating system, which is not supported by iTunes. The FTP and WebDAV services don’t pose security risk because they are to be used only intermittently when syncing music, and within your local network, not over the internet. You must also understand that Decoupled was made for a highly specific audience with certain music consumption habits in mind. If you prefer streaming applications, then unfortunately Decoupled is not for you, but there are plenty of streaming applications on the market.

Lovely music player😘

But by adding repeat and preset EQ options it becomes more complete.👌

Please...I need these options because I only use this app.😔🙏

Love this app!

Almost perfect local music app!

Just needs a repeat option, shuffle option, and playlist support.

Once these are implemented this definitely competes with any player in the App Store free or paid!

Hopefully these ideas are considered for implementation. 🤞

Outstanding

The best offline music player for iOS, hands down. Simple, stable, good looking, well designed and best of all free.
The only real competitor is Neutron, but with its complicated interface it's not for everyone and it's a paid app.
Decoupled plays a vast array of formats, and does it with flying colors. No need to look elsewhere, highly recommended.
