This product was long overdue
Amazing work Team Invest Engine. All the platforms are bloated with unnecessary features and cost confusing the heck out of an individual investor like me, who doesn’t have the time to do detailed financial analysis. The best solution is pound cost averaging ETFs. Invest Engine does this well. When will you add SIPP. Also can I connect my existing Business Account with Mettle to your platform. Do you give interest on cash that is not yet invested in the Business Account?Show lessSatishanM

Hi! Thank you for your 5* reply! We'll always try to do our best o keep the platform simple and easy to use. We hope to provide premium products such as Junior ISAs/Pensions in the near future. They're currently on our product roadmap, however as they're quite complex products to build, we currently do not have a timeframe as to when they'll be available. We will post updates on https://community.investengine.com/ and social media whenever there are new products added to InvestEngine. We do not give interest on cash at the moment. InvestEngine accounts can be funded by UK bank accounts. Happy investing!Average at best
The app itself is fine. However, executing an order once a day is not great for an investing app these days. Also, i am finding a lot of issues with tops up lately which resulting in orders not being put through, very frustrating.JonnyC88

Hi, loved the idea and put quite a bit of money inti my account. Now deeply disappointed with app preventing me from accessing my money: Just updated the app (on the apps request), which now requires me to login and approve login request … with the app. I feel a buzz on the phone (which I suppose is the login-request-approve-message) but I receive no message. In the app I also see nothing appearing can ask for “resend” or click on “did not recive the request” which leads me to a messgae: please check the app on your phone.
Tried various things including reinstalling, re-giving all permissions in System Settings etc. To no avail, this is poor UX process at best. But it is for a finance app unacceptable to lock out people from their investments due to poor UX - this is taking a legal dimension now if the problem is jot resolved immediatley.Show lessFusionLabs

Overall the app is very good, simple to use, decent selection of ETF’s, auto invest etc. but the major flaw is the occasional shocking times waiting for things to settle, I have one currently that’s still not done after 10 days, which really isn’t acceptable when other platforms don’t seem to have the same problem. Issue here being is your account is effectively locked while waiting, you can’t change investments, you can’t rebalance, you can’t really do anything,

Hi and thanks for the review. You can still use your account while waiting for trades to settle, including buying or selling ETFs in your portfolio that are not unsettled. Unfortunately sometimes due to market conditions and liquidity issues orders can take longer to settle. This is something we are working on to eliminate in the future. Their marketing is inaccurate. Calling their product an ETF ISA. No such thing exists. It’s a stocks and shares ISA. A small detail but not wanting to confuse a new generation of investors. I called them out on this inaccuracy and they just blocked me on instagram. I didn’t swear or was abusive. So it’s a bad sign that they seem immune to feedback in their marketing strategy Actual app itself is just so poor. A limited range of funds compared to Trading 212. But the biggest point for me is just how bloody long it takes to A. Get money out. 4-5 working days. B. You can’t make any changes between 14:30-19:30. C. Can’t make changes at all until your previous changes have settled. D. The settlement time when you have sold out of a fund. Again looking at 4-5 days settlement before you can even withdraw. Whereas Trading 212 is effectively instant settlement. Tried to cut it some slack as it is a fledging broker. But feel they’ve tried to take advantage of Trading 212 being closed. Opened a service and a product that’s woefully ill-equipped to compete with Freetrade and Trading 212 once they opened again with no list which they now have. I’ve been using their GIA for about 3 months and it’s been slow slow slow. I welcome developer response to see if they are capable of answering to criticism.Show lessJames Sell

Really like the ability to make a diy portfolio of etf’s or have them choose based on risk profile. It was so quick and easy to create the account and load with money and get it invested really quickly too.
Shame the % increase in portfolio is poorly calculated and inconsistent between accounts.
Shame too that paying in by monthly direct debit they then sit on the funds for days before investing it.
Overall the + win over the - and I’ll keep the account but I’ve already cancelled my direct debit and will load the account manually on a monthly basis.Show lessthis nickname is taken 1979

The TWR figures are a good indicator of returns over a long period. Brilliant of them to offer investment accounts for small businesses in the UK. They also have a friendly and professional customer service team. For instance, when I spotted a typo on one of the companies in one of the ETFs they offered, it was prompted corrected after a quick chat.
I like they show my exact exposure to a certain company even when I have dozens of ETFs in my portfolio. Not that it matters much when any portfolio could easily hold 4,000 companies. But the transparency and thoughtfulness are greatly appreciated. Hopefully their DIY Portfolio stays free for 1-2 years as they scale their business!Show lessDisgruntled Frequent Flyer
A really solid concept and beginning
Really liking IE so far. Excited for some more funds to drop, but a strong start I think. Would love to see some features like Touch/Face ID just to speed up the login process/security.Rob2ert2

Super easy to use and is almost identical to the website which isn’t the case for a lot of others. Platform is great with super low fees. Couldn’t be easier to manage your investments with IEDee.9
