Great design but very confusing
I cannot get past the first level after the tutorial.
Keep getting over run by enemies and you cannot move when that happens.

Enjoyable, but a few issues
This is a nice playing game. The mood is fitting the theme. Agree with other players that they could add more characters or monsters to continue.
One big issue is that after unlocking everything trying to play a ‘hard’ 4 character game it will start freezing between rounds. Exiting resets it one round and item have changed. Not a huge deal but then in another 2 rounds it freezes again just when the new monsters are supposed to be revealed.
Otherwise this is replayable for a while.

Does not save progress
The game is actually a lot of fun and highly addicting. However, it does not save your progress each day. I have tried three days in a row to continue my progress from the day before and each time I am forced to start at the beginning. I enjoyed the game but having to replay the early levels over and over is a bit annoying.

A few minor issues, but great
I don't have much to add to what others have been saying in regards to content. Hopefully we'll get an update with more characters, modes, etc. As it is, though, the game is a lot of fun with a charming presentation.
I wish the tutorial was bit more robust and there are multiple grammatical errors in the in-game manual. Additionally, this is one of those games that won't allow its audio and another app's audio to mix, meaning if you want to listen to a podcast or some music while playing, the game will be completely muted, which is a shame.
Play this game for sure, but keep those things in mind. I'll happily update this review if any of those issues are addressed.

Update #3 : Won’t save
Ok. So here’s the thing. I can’t get the game to save. The one time I did, it was a process... uninstall then reinstall. Restart phone, uninstall and reinstall once again. Uninstall restart phone. Then one more install.
Well that worked for about 3ish days. Now here I am, AGAIN with all of my progress lost. I LOVE this game. But this is beyond irritating and frustrating.
I got a reply from the support staff so I’ll be in contact with them to try and get something sorted.

Fun turn based game
Good fun, surprisingly addictive.
I think it tends to max out a bit easily - I hope they keep on extending the levels and so on.
Very enjoyable game however.

Entertaining game but glitchy
I’ve spent quite a few hours playing this game and really enjoy it. I love the retro board game feel and the graphics and music/fx are good. My only issue is that while playing on the large board the game glitches and I cannot play any further however I’m still able to restart the level or return to the homepage. Hopefully an easy fix for the developer.

Wow
Stranger things meets jumanji. The soundtrack, the RNG. The perks, items and weapon rates. This whole game is well thought out and best of all... extremely fun, I rarely leave reviews but if your reading this, you have to download this and see for yourself what I’m on about. It’s brilliant. But you loose hours to it.

Crashes on hard mode large level
I have been playing this game daily but frustrated when the game freezes on the hard mode in the large level. When a large group of aliens jumps toward you, the game freezes and it does it again when you restart. I have a XR
So, So, So Close to 5-Stars
Other Side is easily my favorite Apple Arcade game to date - though, admittedly, there isn’t much competition for that distinction, either. Regardless, this is legitimately one of the most enjoyable mobile/iOS games I’ve yet encountered, and almost singularly (w/ just a bit of support from Ballistic Baseball and King’s League) justifies the monthly cost of Apple Arcade.
Having said that, below are the barriers between the game as-is and a 5-star rating:
* The “Free Trade” ability of the Kid does not function properly. When used, 1 Action Point is still consumed. Using this ability AFTER exhausting all 3 Action Points is the only semi-functional workaround (though it also causes Kid’s available AP balance to display as -1).
* The added difficulty setting has been much appreciated, however even playing on “Hard” with my non-preferred character abilities begins to feel somewhat repetitive (not to mention easy - my record on Large Maps is 27-0, Medium is 9-0, and Small is 6-1 with the lone defeat coming in what was my 2nd ever game).
* To summarize, all this game needs is 1-or-2 minor bug fixes, perhaps an additional difficulty option that really floods the map with enemies,, and - most importantly - at least a little bit more variety (map size + layout, character options + abilities, monster types + spawn rates).
