Garbage switches, garbage app
This app and the switches it allegedly operates are garbage. I have an eero network and apparently the switches and the app can’t talk to each other on these networks, even when the device you’re using is on the 2.4Ghz band, so the switches can’t connect to WiFi, or my phone, or Alexa. How does this app even work, anyway? There is never a step in the installation process where the switch connects directly to my phone.
How can the device learn the WiFi login credentials if it doesn’t connect to my phone first? Is it talking to my phone via Bluetooth? Maybe if they made all this more explicit, we could troubleshoot the absurdly frustrating install process. As it is, I’ve got two stupid switches with blinking blue lights that can’t connect to my phone or my network, and I have no idea why. The support for this product online is a joke. Lowe’s should be ashamed to sell these switches.
