Vehicle Registration Renewal

I needed to renew my personal vehicle’s Registration Certificate and Residential Parking Permit. The DC DMV app interaction was fast, easy to understand, and simple. It took minutes to complete. Keep it simple.

Can’t schedule Knowledge Tests appointments

Scheduling appoints to take either the drivers test or the knowledge test or even scheduling to try to get a are what I thought was also important are not even available on the app. You can’t even schedule to get a new I’d. Only renew or replace.

Needs to be fixed!

I tried renewing my registration and it gave me an error message. However, the fee has been deducted from my account. Now I have to spend the valuable time (I tried saving by using the app) by now calling and trying to get my money back or actually applied to my registration renewal since it still shows as expired. What a headache!

Only 1 digital registration card can be in the wallet

The app seems to allow only one car’s registration in the iPhone’s wallet. Why the limit?

Still doesn’t work.

Registration info is still blank (see previous reviewer’s description) when trying to add it to the wallet app. Latest update (1.1.3) was supposed to fix this, but no dice. Maybe next year.

Update: To respond to the developer’s note, I’d have to ask why the registration would need to be hidden after adding it to the Wallet app, since security measures are already in place in order to access it in the first place. Having to add our registration to the wallet and then having to go back to the DMV app to view it simply makes no sense at all. Why not just let us add the registration to the wallet for easy access and be done with it?

After adding the card to Apple wallet you may not see all data about it right on the card for privacy & security reason, however you can click the "..." on the top right corner of the card and from the next page you may click the "Show VR in DCDMV App" and that will show you the card with latest information without asking you to re-enter all those details.However it will verify your face id or touch id to ensure you are authorized to see the detail information. Appreciate your feedback , the reason we expose limited information on the apple wallet pass is to protect customer Identity theft and also we are able to give you the realtime information from DC DMV about your registration card. e.g. if the vehicle registration has expired or suspended or cancelled or any name/address has been changed.

Replacement DL

App simply doesn’t work. Service is always down when trying to get a replacement DL. Guess I’ll have to wait until June of next year just to get an appointment to get this done. Developer will claim that upgrade to new version will fix the problem (which i am using the most recent version that they will ask to upgrade to) but it didn’t...

But it’s DC, I shouldn’t be surprised on level service from the DMV and official offices

Sorry for the inconvenience caused , the DL services are back in place.

Doesn't work

The latest update supposedly allows you to add your registration to the apple wallet. To do so, you enter tag number, last 5 of VIN and birthdate of owner. But, the app only allows the current date to be entered which makes the new features worthless. Most other functions are "coming soon", but don't hold your breath.

Update: developer responds finally and says to update to the latest version as if that made a difference. This is not the DC government’s best digital effort but keep trying.
