  • Novelty Value Only

    I found it entertaining and fun for an hour or two. My win ratio was 75% at one point. Then it started dropping and I found it hard to keep it above 50%.
    Then the real decline started. I was outclassed and outnumbered time after time. Watching my feeble troops get annihilated time after time was no fun. I almost deleted it right there but I changed my outlook and tactics and enjoyed a small resurgence. That was short-lived!
    In short you have no idea what formation you’ll face and no idea how to prepare your troops for one of the multitude of opponent combinations. Seeing enemy troops appear that you have no access to makes the whole thing a spend fest if you wanted to try to match them.

  • Positive vibes

    Downloaded this game based off an AD. I think it’s a fun game with solid game mechanics. Bought the starter pack which really helps with the early game.
    Joined an active clan who give friendly vibes, overall a very positive experience. My only complaint is there isn’t a feature that allows you to share formations or let you see your clan mates layout, I just think it would be a good feature to implement and allow clan mates to help with strategy’s.

    Allow us to translate other languages real time or allow us to copy paste text so we can translate using another app
  • Waste of Potential / Money Grab

    This app is a lot of fun. Unfortunately it is a thinly veiled money grab.

    Upgrades are funded by shards and gold. There’s a balance issue between these resources. Shards are collected by opening wagons, hitting trophy milestones, requesting, and agreeing to have ads jammed down your throat. Gold is collected by winning battles, donating troops, and a small collection on the main window. All of the gold collection methods give you a nominal amount of gold; so after just couple weeks of gameplay / advancement, you are stuck waiting long periods or spending money. (The downfall of most apps of this design, but why not make a good game for longevity?)

    If the gold reward for donating was larger, the game would incentivize community-building, encourage activity, and decrease player turnover. They could also just make the gold collection upgradable. This game has potential but, until they make money-spending a choice instead of a necessity, it is essentially just a boiled down version of Clash of Clans.

  • You’re Joking Right?

    Not sure why people enjoy this game, it’s probably one of the worst pay to wins out there. First off, their season pass lasts about 2 weeks lol. Almost every game in the planet has monthly seasons. So prepare to spend $10 a month easy. Next, the RNG is pathetic. It will tease you with a few easy opponents then team you up against 2 times the amount of unbeatable opponents. You think the more you lose the better the chance to face someone you can beat, but no. Continuing on RNG, good luck planning a team you like. The shards to upgrade are random too. So even if you are spending money on good etc. There’s a ton of different units and most of the time, you never get the ones you want, so throw planning right out the window. Another sign, of greed, to get you to buy countless chests in hopes of getting what you want. Lastly, broken units everywhere. Good luck to anyone rank 8 or so. If you don’t get barrier monk, you will be stuck there for a long time. They do nothing to balance the game. I mean barrier monk is a cool unit, but maybe make it so he only casts one barrier? If your units break the barrier and you don’t kill him quick enough, he puts up another lol. So if you think you want to play this game. Give it a try, don’t spend any money and stop playing after about a week once you reach 8.

    Sorry to hear the game isn't to your liking. Battle Legion is by no means an easy game that you will always win. While purchases can make the progression a lot faster, there are no barriers to achieving the highest ranks without any purchases as many players have. You are playing real players, which does mean that every time one player wins, another loses. The opponents are picked at random from players equal to, or immediately above or below, your progress. This means, that the more you lose then yes, the more probable it is that you will face easier opponents. While playing, you will get various different rewards. These rewards are obviously random as in most similar games. We believe that the game would be short lived and boring if players always got exactly what they wanted. And then there is the balance. This is something we take pride in, as we constantly monitor game and player data and make balance changes for every Season. That means balance changes every two weeks. As far as the Barrier Monk is concerned, there are many ways to break that barrier efficiently. We do recommend joining our Discord, where you will find many fellow Commanders ready to give advise on getting your army on a winning path again. Thanks for the review!
  • A testament to how stupid the devs think consumers are.

    There is practically no game here. Grind, upgrade your troops (which you cannot control), rinse and repeat. All, while being bombarded by “deals”. No, I do not want to spend 13 dollars on in-game currency and items, especially when there is no game to be had, and stop asking.

    I can understand charging a few bucks to get rid of ads or reduce cooldowns; I.e., for a permanent improvement that reveals the game as it is meant to be played. But with the particular approach to micro transactions seen here, all one might get is a temporary boost. Kind of like dropping another token into a slot machine, except there is no chance of winning. Theoretically, this is not worth anyone’s time or money and yet it persists.

  • Some things just need to be thought over.

    I have been playing this game for about a week and a half and I am a rank 7. For the most part this is a great game that I have a lot of fun playing. Most characters are well balanced and there is a way to counter every one of them. However one character stands out more than any to be a problem in all of my games that there is not a good way to counter. Plague throwers. These guys most of the time decide the game because before you get to rank 8 there is no character to stop them. The only chance you have of stopping them is if your assassins get them and that is all based on luck of placement. I just think these guys could have been put later in the game because unlocking them at rank 4 means by the time you get close to getting to rank 8 to get a counter people who use plague throwers have them at a pretty high level. This is just from my experience and I find it kills the mood when I run into these guys playing this game because I am stuck on the line of rank 7 trying to get to 8.

    Great feedback, thank you. Balance is something we track constantly and make adjustments to for every Season. As to the Plague Throwers, yes they are very strong Units. At Rank 4 the Paladin is unlocked, which will grant immunity against the plague to all units within it's area of effect. Also, Battle Legion has Powerstones that can boost units powers. The Resist Conditions Powerstone in particular will help a Unit fight the plague condition. See you on the Battlefields!

    Game play controls graphics sound all is swell.

    Gold control is what pisses me off
    On every time gold is rewarded you are given less than a third of the amount u r needed to upgrade one single unit.
    On top of that on wins your gold gets cut off because there is a so called limit.
    Even your wagon is there to remind you that there’s one.

    This really holds the progress back and this limit is excatly what they use to semi force players to trade for gems etc.

    I have spent all the gems I earned from the game into getting gold and simply the gold limit is just an extremely poor balance to what the game itself needs to progress.

    Please make the balance fairer and leave the gold buying option to those who wants to take an extra level in the game. Instead of replacing what the normal game’s balance.

    Gold limit is what? Less than what the wagon itself provides each day? It doesn’t even say!

  • Pay to win

    Fun at the start but plateaus towards the middle where you end up in an endless cycle of waiting for gold to level up troops just to win a couple games, the trophy system is so skewed that you win a few rounds but if you lose one game you lose 2-3 wins worth of trophy’s. The small trickle of gold income basically means the game favours those that throw money at it, making it pay to win. A simple mobile app to past the time shouldn’t be this frustrating.

  • Just what I’ve been looking for!

    This game is great, I played Clash of Clan and just loved the gold farm, gems and skill set required and it’s deff in the game. The swiping is next level because it’s just a spin on matchmaking as well as entertaining to watch.

    KEY INFO BEFORE DOWNLOADING
    This game is newer so there are some limitations that will borderline make you want to delete the game (chest timer and amount, daily gold limit, small cost gains) however this game offers a very satisfying advantage to winning.
    Imagine an idle game like Adventure Capitalist, you start slow and after a bit you pick up speed, this game starts slow; winning wise. You won’t win much unless you get some chests and get some items. Blow your gems early powering through the chests to level up and worry about IGC (in game currency) later.

    FOR DEVELOPERS
    I hope you expand on this game, I have a lot of ideas that would make this game feel more for everyone instead of your typical pay to play.
    Get rid of the chest timer and add a key slot currency, every game you earn a key, larger chests require more keys. This will allow you to sell keys as well as the player feels they are receiving more items for winning. Clan vs Clan battles is deff the future for this game and I’m excited. Keep your same path and this will be the #1 downloaded PVP mobile game EASY.
