  • Lifesaver

This app has been a lifesaver. I have only used it twice, but both times it was either late afternoon or a weekend and there was no way I was going to be able to get our child in to see a pediatrician. The doctors I spoke with were able to send in prescriptions right away and the process was painless! I have been sharing it with friends and co-workers as we all deal with the same things. I’m so happy a friend of mine told me about it.

  • Worth it’s weight in gold

Subscribed last night at 1am when my toddlers croup escalated really quickly. Pediatrician called within 30 minutes having reviewed my notes and audio. She even requested additional video in order to make sure she was confident in the diagnosis. We are traveling out of state and don’t have a pharmacy nearby. She took the time to help me find the nearest 24-hour pharmacy, sent in the script and marked it “urgent” so they’d fill it right away. Under her care, my toddler made massive improvement throughout the night. The pediatrician genuinely seemed to care about my child. The best peace of mind a parent can have in the middle of the night is an on-call doctor. We will absolutely be keeping this service and recommending to everyone we know. Very impressed.

  • Wow! Just wow!

I am so beyond impressed with Blueberry Pediatrics. My son started vomiting at bed time and I thought it was from over eating. Turns out it was not- he began throwing up all night. I submitted a “Visit” around 5:45 am with my sons symptoms. By 6:00 am a doctor was on the phone with me. Not just any doctor but an educated, thorough, asks the right questions kind of doctor. It’s now 6:10 am, a prescription has already been called in for my son, I have a school excuse for him for the day, and I didn’t have to wake my children up to drag them to the doctor for what took 5 minutes at home. Hands down the best money I have ever spent.

  • Excellent service

I’ve had Blueberry Pediatrics for about two years now as an alternative to when my son lost insurance coverage. The doctors are great - very patient and caring. I’ve only had to use it a few times - twice for more serious problems requiring a prescription and a few times for general concerns. I’ve had rXs written for when he had a cold and also when he had an eye infection and fortunately the prescriptions weren’t crazy expensive so taking into account the general cost of insurance, how often we have needed it, and the low costs of the prescriptions it’s been absolutely great. We’re finally getting insurance for the sake of specialists for non-emergency concerns but for the past several years, the team at Blueberry Pediatrics has been a blessing and a Godsend.

  • Not great but not many options either.

I had a less than wonderful experience. Many times I felt as if I was bothering the doctors by asking questions. When there was an actual visit, we weren’t really helped beyond being told, “make an appointment with your pediatrician.”

That defeats the purpose of the app. At the end of the year subscription I paid for, I voiced my frustrations and issues, but they apparently could not be bothered to offer an apology, let alone financial reimbursement/discount/ or even offering to have us give them another try to see if they could make it right. Very “good riddance” feeling.

Left feeling like no one cared, and that’s how we felt the entire time we were using the service.

Don’t recommend it. I’ve been a Medic for 12 years, and wouldn’t let my patients feel as if they’re just a bother.

  • Lifesaver with small kids

I have a 4 year old and a 10 month old and this app is amazing. Not wanting to leave the house with 2 kids in tow, this is a magically thing! My daughter has had pink eye or a rash and I have gotten the care I need within 2 hours in the comfort of my own home on the couch watching a disney movie. YOU NEED THIS!

  • This app has saved the day….many times!!

I’ve saved so much time, money and frustration with this app. I pay a copay every time I take my daughter to the doctor. This app basically pays for itself after 3 virtual visits.
Time and frustration are other great savings. My daughter had a stomach bug and needed to see a doc. Rather than taking her in my car and risking her throwing up everywhere, I used the app :) What did I do while waiting for my appt? Sat in my pajamas relaxing and drinking a coffee!

  • MUST HAVE FOR PARENTS

If I could give Blueberry 746282929 stars I would. The number of times blueberry has saved my sanity AND impulse to rush to the hospital is endless!
They send you everything you need! Having an otoscope on demand to use from your home where the footage can be reviewed by AN ACTUAL DOCTOR, that alone is worth every penny.
The app is super easy to use, a doctor calls you back within the hour during all hours of the night. Can't rave enough about blueberry! If you're on the fence - do it! You won't regret it!

  • Prefer this over our regular pediatrician

We have expensive PPO insurance and we likely have one of the top pediatricians in LA area but that doesn’t beat the convenience of this service. For parents with younger kids, this is a must have. Since we subscribed, we had 17+ visits and got call back within 30min. On more than 2 occasions, it saved us ER trip. Yes, I’m one of those parents who freak out and take kids to ER for everything. Today we had a pink eye case and we were immediately prescribed meds for both of my kids. I took care of it while running errands. I feel like we have 24/7 on call doctors, which is 100% true in this case. You cannot find a pediatrician who will call you back at 2am. Count yourself lucky if the nurse calls back. If it’s something more serious, we always get second opinion from a different doctor anyway.

  • Waste of money

I’m lucky that I did not pay for this app myself. We got a 1 year membership as a gift at our baby shower and thought it was an awesome concept. I have been disappointed every time I use it. It takes hours and sometimes days for them to reply back to messages sent and then instead of it being a steady conversation after they finally do reply it takes hours for them to respond back after you answer their previous message. Sometimes the doctors will even switch mid conversation. Also after they ask a few questions they give very vague answers with no real solution. Every time I’ve asked anything i’ve just been told to monitor it. How is that helpful?
Also for the video visits there’s hoops to jump through to start the visit. I wanted a visit for my 1 month old at the time (now 4 months) and before I could start the visit they wanted me to get her oxygen saturation and a picture of the back of her throat which I had no way of doing accurately. It’s Very frustrating and I will not be renewing the membership when it’s time.
