Waste of money

I’m lucky that I did not pay for this app myself. We got a 1 year membership as a gift at our baby shower and thought it was an awesome concept. I have been disappointed every time I use it. It takes hours and sometimes days for them to reply back to messages sent and then instead of it being a steady conversation after they finally do reply it takes hours for them to respond back after you answer their previous message. Sometimes the doctors will even switch mid conversation. Also after they ask a few questions they give very vague answers with no real solution. Every time I’ve asked anything i’ve just been told to monitor it. How is that helpful?
Also for the video visits there’s hoops to jump through to start the visit. I wanted a visit for my 1 month old at the time (now 4 months) and before I could start the visit they wanted me to get her oxygen saturation and a picture of the back of her throat which I had no way of doing accurately. It’s Very frustrating and I will not be renewing the membership when it’s time.

Worth every single penny!

I can’t tell you how much I love this app! It is fast and easy to navigate. It doesn’t require insurance. They send you the kit with everything you need for minor visits. We don’t have to go to the Peds office and pay expensive co-pays per child. The $18 covers all your kids unlimited for a month. My kids don’t have to be exposed to covid and RSV while waiting to be seen by their pediatrician. 100% recommending this app to all my friends and family!

Good in theory, poor in practice

Having worked in healthcare I’m an advocate for concierge-style service especially for pediatrics. This review is NOT about the providers on the platform. However, upon first use of Blueberry we were disappointed in app-usability and time until service (60+ minutes). We figured we’d use our first time on a weekend for a straightforward fever. The UI of the app is pretty but very difficult to navigate and you frequently lose progress when you need to go make changes, thus having to re-enter information and waste time. I would highly recommend anyone who gets set up to immediately do a “visit” to get a feel for the platform so as to not waste time when you really need service. First experience took over an hour to speak with a physician of which we could have just done walk-in to Urgent Care (which they ended up recommending we do anyways).

Extremely disappointed

Waited 2 hours to received a call from a physician through their “visit” option. Not only did I NOT receive the call, when I go to check the visit status it says they tried to reach me “several times”. Absolutely ludicrous. Both my husband and I held my phone for 2 hours, and not ONE call was received. Extremely disappointed. What infuriates me is that now the local urgent care is closed, and I don’t have $1000 to spend on an ER visit - thankfully it’s not a medical emergency. Nonetheless, my daughter will have another miserable night because of these incompetent folks.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!

I can not express how much I appreciate this service! Honestly, this is the perfect addition to any parents arsenal when trying to care for your children. I woke up this morning, my daughter was showing signs of croup. I saw blueberry pediatrics online, checked it out (I’ll be honest, I was skeptical at first), signed up anyway just to see since I know TeleHealth is becoming more popular. Within 30 minutes a doctor called, I spoke with her for a little, and then she sent over a prescription to my local pharmacy.

Where has this been all of my life?! 🙌🏻 Thank you to the doctors who are apart of this program. Not having to drag your child to urgent care or the ER and to be able to do this all from the comfort of your home is so valuable. My daughter has sensory issues, so when she is sick, she is in sensory overload and I feel 90% of her anxiety of being sick is from having to visit a doctor when she doesn’t feel good. Now that I can do this from our house, it is so amazing! Thank you!

Would have given 1 star but 2 bc it used to be great

I RAVED about this app to many friends! The first couple of pediatricians we had were so thorough and helpful I was blown away by the care we received. Since then, it has very much seemed like a waste of money. Especially when they send you to the urgent care when nothing is really the matter. So while this app may be good for first time parents who are nervous about every little sniffle, they will definitely give you the confidence you need to get through the night. Everyone else, I would only download it again if it was something I was sure they could diagnose like croup or a rash. They will just tell you everything else is viral and they can’t treat viruses.

Don’t ask questions

I’m still trying to figure out how this app is possible, but I’ve given up and just embraced the amazingness of Blueberry Pediatrics! Signed up 6 weeks ago and have already used it 5 times for my three kids — ages 9, 6, and 3 months. The providers are wonderful and compassionate. Communication is efficient. I have recommended the service to so many friends! Fan for life.

Great service, lousy app

They provide great service, unfortunately the app is full of bugs and slow.

Don’t waste your money

They don’t do preventative treatments. They will wait for your child to get very sick and then tell you to go to ER, even if you beg them for the medication you know they need because it’s worked in the past. They’ll treat you like you’re asking for a hard drug or something. It’s ridiculous.
