  • Does not support sensory disabilities

If you can see and hear perfectly you will have no difficulty. I am partially deaf so I have to have to volume very loud, which means my baby has to be awake when I do it, which makes it hard to do. Supposedly a selection of videos have cc, but I’m 32 days in and have yet to encounter any.
And no, there is no descriptive audio offered for the blind, otherwise my blind friend could have signed for me as I went through the motions. That was a very frustrating afternoon for both of us.
Do the workouts actually work? The core compression stretches seem to have had an impact, and they are safer for postpartum recovery than Fitbit’s offerings. However they are a bit repetitive in sequence and there’s almost no modifications offered if you have injuries/disabilities. (The repetitive nature isn’t all bad, I’m deaf not stupid and it did allow me to memorize the moves so I could work out quietly)
Also keep in mind the actual workouts increase in length so if you are looking for 10-15th every day instead of 30 you’ll need to check their library for alternatives.
Overall, I’d recommend over Fitbits workouts, but would really like to see updates that make it easier for the audio and visually impaired.

Thank you for your review. We are happy to report that we do offer closed captioning for many of our videos! This is currently offered through our website (every-mother.com) and not yet available in the app. You can log in to the website with the same credentials that you use for the app. When a video is open you will see the CC button on the left. If you have any further questions, please reach out to us at members@every-mother.com. The Every Mother team
  • Good for the core and pelvic floor exercises, not great for exercise routines

I like the level of detail and focus given to the daily core and pelvic floor exercises, but I am not a fan of the workout routines. There are a handful of rotating instructors, and a few of them are ok, but specifically the ones by Leah Keller are not very good for folks that may be new to or not advanced exercisers. There is very little attention given to making sure one's form is correct, which it crucial to prevent injury and maximize effectiveness. The speed that the exercising is done and the lack of alternative moves for those who may not be as advanced, makes it difficult to keep up. I have used the Mom's Into Fitness App, by Lindsay Brin, for almost a decade and I feel like her energy, attention to detail, and alternative moves (for every level of fitness) is perfect. I was referred to the Every mother program by my OBGYN and I think it's great for the 10 min daily core exercises, but would not at all recommend it for the 20 min general workout routines. I think I'll continue to do teh daily core exercises but I will go back to Mom's Into Fitness for the general workouts.

  • Profit over people

My wife used this program for a year and enjoyed it. However, they renewed the subscription without notification, trust me, I checked through all her emails. Once we discovered it, she tried to login to her account, but was locked out. After a long customer service support call, she decided that she’d rather do something else. They wouldn’t refund our money even though my wife hadn’t used the program, didn’t know she had the program, and was locked out of her account anyway. They still would not refund the money. It’s difficult to support an organization that will charge you for not using their product.

Now to address the person who is going to respond to this one star review and remind me that the terms of service states that you will not give refunds: I know. I read them. I suggest that you include in your terms of service and in your company policy that you give 30 day and seven day notice when things are going to renew. That’s what my insurance company does. I really appreciate it. It gives me a chance to reevaluate my decisions. Netflix doesn’t do that, but they charge 10% of what you’re charging. it’s just common courtesy.
