Amazing (best out there)

I started using this app from the early days where I saw the creator post about it on reddit and been using it since. Worth the subscription because the updates are really good and app is always improving.

Never write reviews but this is actually a great app and really helped me in the gym keeping me organised and tracking my progress with ease.

Stellar Design with Excellent Features

I care a lot about design and platform integration in my app selection. I’m a huge fan of indie apps and this app is a delight.

I have been powerlifting for a couple years now and have tried just about every app available for it. I don’t need someone to make a program for me, I want a well designed app that lets me build my own workouts. Not only does Liftin do that, but it brings in so many quality of life features that make it a joy to use.

As someone who follows principles of linear progression and progressive overload in his training methodology, this is the only app I’ve tried that automatically handles this aspect for me. It also allows custom linking in its automatic progression. My volume squat progresses independently of my intensity squat, even though it’s the same lift but used in different workouts. Then things like curls can progress sequentially together while being part of different workouts. Live Activity keeps me apprised of my rest timer while I’m browsing the web or reading. I can create custom lifts whenever needed and categorize them appropriately. The app remembers recent lifts for quick additions. Routines can have substitutions so you can keep the routine but swap in RDLs on the fly.

The icing on the cake is how responsive the developer. I cannot recommend the app enough.

It works sometimes

I really like the layout and the ability to customize workouts & equipment. This app has a horrible time syncing my workout between my watch and phone. I almost always have to waste time trying to get it to work. Half the time it looks like it started working but actually two separate workouts were tracked at the same time. Anytime I’ve requested help I’m just told I need to update my watch and phone. They are updated but unfortunately that hasn’t changed anything. Again, love the the layout but the time I waste trying to get it to sync is often more counterproductive.

Best fitness / Workout App out there!

I’ve tried so many fitness and workout tracking apps after moving from a trusty notebook and this is by far the best one out there, nothing even comes close. Everything that’s been promised has been delivered in terms of enhancements and I would struggle to find a workout that this App wouldn’t support.

The developer is responsive to any bugs and gets them fixed in short time.

Great app for weightlifting

There’s so many useful features here and it’s really enhanced my gym sessions. You can tell this was made by people who actually work out. Integrates seamlessly with my Apple Watch.

Best Apple watch app

I’ve tried a lot of workout tracker apps and this is the best one I have found that you can do everything on your Apple Watch. I highly recommend this app!

Don’t look elsewhere for a strength training workout tracker

This is it. Don’t look anywhere else. Just download.

Beats strong, hevy, five/three/one and persist for clean UI and Apple Watch integration. You can easily create a routine in a few minutes, and it includes automatic progressive overload so it takes out the thinking. The dev is super responsive and open to making this the best app there can be.

Awesome workout app

As a user who transferred over from Strong, it takes a lot of the guesswork out of working out for me. I don’t have to worry as much about calculating my 1RM percentages or having to cross reference lifts to progress in weight. I can train and let the app do its thing. I do wish it had some cardio workouts in it but every issue I’ve had, I’ve found some form of solution or makeshift fix for.

Had to come back and say that I love the updates this app has been getting in regards to little things like the plate calculator, adjusting exercise order and supersets mid workout (a feature I’ve wanted for a while) and the ad-hoc workouts. It might honestly be a reason I stick to iOS when faced with my next phone upgrade. Quality app.

Tricked me

This is an amazing app, I have to say it runs so well and could set up a whole month routine easily, with progression goals. Loved it.

But … then on my 5th workout I have to pay, out of know where. I spent like 40mins setting up the program and now I have to find another app?

$30 a year isn’t too bad I guess but I didn’t know I was going to have to, just want to track my own program. Would be good if only paid if using your programs or something.

Love that it staying running on your phone when you close it etc.
