Suspect app
App wants to “always” have access so it tracks while I am riding in a car with my husband, my daughter, a friend…..I am not going to the app for each “ride” and indicate I am not driving. We listen to podcasts especially on trips. Distracted driving while listening and also when on hands free phone. I could be talking to a passenger in my car without issues but on hands free phone and distracted. Not sure what they are measuring but the discount is not worth the intrusion for us. Unimpressed.Trash app
Collects non-necessary data to sell off to third parties. Also drains my phones battery.
You’re better off avoiding the premium “discount” this app offers.Developer Response
Hi vectorShades, the OnTrack app does not collect any personal identifiable information, only data about your driving behaviors which helps determine your car insurance discount. We’ll share your feedback about battery life with our development team. Thank you.App very inaccurate.
How does one get 11 alerts in .8 miles driving around the corner for distracted driving ? Not too sure how a safe driving credit can be decided by a faulty app.Developer Response
Hi Greg, thanks for sharing your thoughts about OnTrack. Please note that distracted driving is not counted in your score to determine your discount and is only used to coach good driving behavior within the app. We’ll make sure to share your experience with our development team so we can continue to make improvements where necessary.
