  • Works well, better than others

    This WD ReadyView App is fast and works intuitively. Especially viewing earlier recordings. Moving forward and backward in time to find the time you want is easy.
    I have a Lorex system too - that app is clunky and navigating prior recordings is tedious.
  • Adequate but needs some updates

    The iPhone app is ok as it preforms all the basic functions but they could add some features such as:
    - at least two logins , one for managing the settings and one for viewing and playback only.
    - allow the multi-camera view to show more than 4 cameras at a time on the same page.
    - allow you to remove cameras that are not connected from the display.

    To end on a positive note, the app seems to function well- even if it sometimes crashes for no apparent reason. All in all I’d recommend it and I think it’s well worth the price 😄.

  • Useless system

    I just got this installed and can’t sign into the app. After an hour online with tech support they told me the box is defective and I need to box everything up and take it back to place of purchase for a replacement. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! They want me to remove the cameras from the building and yank out all of the wires to replace the box. I asked if WD would just replace the box and avoid the store, they said no.

    DO NOT BUY THIS SYSTEM!!!

    why can't I enter when I scan the QR, I already tried 2 iPod 10 and I can't enter, you just go ahead but it doesn't enter, what can I do

    Hey Guys ! I just got this system. It was fast and easy to install . Cameras are up and running . The problem is the app! The app doesn not let me log in with the barcode. I keep trying to sign in and it says signing in then just shows the password and that’s it . It does not let me go in to view my cameras .

  • Absolutely terrible

    Spent a lot of $ on this system thanks to Microcenter sales people pushing it. No support. When you call WD they don’t even know this product exists, if you even reach a real human being. My first drive got fried for no reason. Warranty support was nonexistent, had to buy an entire new one. Then a few months later their app starts bugging out, not recognizing the system, error codes that have nothing to match up to. Giving notifications constantly without reason, not displaying camera view. Any of them. Huge waste. Worst system on the market. It doesn’t work, period.

  • Currently cannot edit alerts

    Install is very easy. Cameras up and running quickly. The problem is once I got things running, the alerts from the app are non stop. There is seemingly no way to edit the alerts so they aren’t coming in once every 60 seconds.

    In the help center where I can find out how to edit alerts, I am unable to click on anything.

    On the alerts page itself, there is not menu feature that I can see where you can edit them. Please fix or it will render the usability of the app and cameras pretty much useless.

  • Purple Bar Bug

    Loved the app until a recent update put a purple bar over the camera feed in full screen and you can no longer see the time etc. Please fix

    I got the system but it will not let me login after I scan the barcode.

    Purple bar at the top doesn’t allow full screen view! App doesn’t notify you when motion is detected. Cheap system no support. Known issues but WD doesn’t do anything about it.
