Worthless

Tried to use the app to find a pontoon for the family during vacation. Waited days for the owner’s response- apparently he couldn’t be bothered. Luckily I found a local guy (not in this crap app) the night before the day we wanted the boat. He rented a 2021 Bennington to me at a better price and more flexible times than the Boatsetter owner. The Boatsetter owner finally contacted me the day of desired rental (as I was signing for the other boat) saying it was in use for the day already.

Thank God for small businesses that actually care and saved our day.

We know that boat Owners are a huge part of this, that's why Owners that fail to comply with our guidelines are constantly being removed from our platform. Utter waste of time and money

Booked a boat with Boatsetter the guy said the time I booked was not available so he rebooked. Then he said that he accidentally double booked me and said he will cancel one booking. Went to the spot and contacted him then he said he was a couple of hours late then asked us to come to a different spot and made us wait there for couple of more hours then finally never showed up. Do not book with this app instead go to a local boat rental shop and book there directly. Utter waste of time and money

We had a great time renting from Boatsetter and Kennth , Kennth was so accommodating, really nice clean boat he even supplied bottled water and ice , he really went above and beyond, would rent again for sure

Messaging

The app urges you to only communicate through the app, but the messaging system doesn’t work right. It show messages that were already read as unread, and sent messages disappear with no indication that they were sent. Absolutely unsatisfactory as I am standing at a boat ramp waiting for a boat I rented and there’s no way to communicate with the host.

Worst communication from a company I’ve ever seen

I've literally never posted a negative review online before, but communicating with this company sucked so much that I had to say something.

Was super excited when I first found out about them, but they're very fast and loose with last minute cancellations - and either don't bother telling you or just forget altogether. My partner had a lesson that he traveled 50 minutes across the city for, only to find out when he got there that it was canceled. He texted the captain, who said he'd messaged us already, but uhh...either the captain forgot to, or just straight up lied. Neither exactly great for running a business.

My partner's way too nice so I confronted the captain about this, and he replied back solely with, "Here's the link to reschedule!" What??? Is there even a real person behind their contact lines?

Oh, and I forgot to mention that that was the 4TH TIME we rescheduled - the others because, as you guessed, they cancelled last minute. And honestly, I don't even mind that part much - I get it, bad weather happens, boats break down, etc. But they rarely respond to emails (or respond days later), and also being so sloppy/negligent that you don't even tell people when sessions ARE cancelled is such a bad look for a company. So over them, such a frustrating experience.

Amazing app and customer service

This app was so great and easy to use! I got the best service from Ben helping us out with completing our boat rental and mediating between the owner of the boat and us! Best customer service out there and super easy to use app! Will be using again!

Never Again! George from Cape Coral is the worst!

My family an I booked a 22’ Bass Tracker pontoon from George in Cape Coral on June 05, 2022 to be collected at Rosen Park. My family was packed up and ready to go at the landing when 10 minutes after our delivery time, George Cancelled the trip. Boatsetter said broken boat, but after that George said the boat just wasn’t available. You can imagine the disappointment of being no showed by this untrustworthy gent. Do not trust George with his pontoon rental unless you want to be no showed.

Very Disappointing
He should receive a 0 for a rating but the sight allows one star as a minimum.

Family Boat Adventure w/Eric

Eric was a great host! We wanted our boys to have a fun day and Eric delivered! He brought big floats and found a private beach to explore. We only wished we booked for longer. Totally recommend Eric and his boat!

So easy to use!

This app is so easy to use. So many great options to choose from and owners are responsive and helpful. I’ve gone wake-surfing, rented a yacht for a board meeting and taken a pontoon out to the sandbar several times. Each experience was great!
