The app was recommended by the instructions that came with the appliance. The app was advertised as assisting installation and how to use. It does not do this.

I have been a fan of Breville products for a long time. I did not realize how helpful augmented reality (AR) would be in helping me decide on my next Breville appliance until I downloaded the app and tried it out in my kitchen. Amazon offers a similar experience for a wider range of products, but Breville’s experience feels more sleek and generally seamless. Why is it necessary to have a fake reality 3D image of the coffee maker in my kitchen— and give read write access to ALL of my photos?? when I can look at the Actual Reality of the coffee maker in my kitchen?
