This is a good app. Highly suggest watching the tutorials on YouTube from the beginning. I sped up the videos and planned a mission at the same time.
I managed to spiral around and up a tall tree in the park, through a narrow gap (approx 7m gap) between other trees. After moving along to other flight paths within the mission, the drone returned to the same tree and spiralled back down with no drama.
I flew the same mission twice, and when comparing the footage side by side, it’s almost identical. There was some minor shake in the footage. Unsure if this is due to wind, or obstacle avoidance of the branches. Can potentially be fixed in post processing stabilisation.
When including the “Drone Settings Reset” from the Repository, I was getting mission failures soon after beginning a mission, where the drone landed automatically when the mission failed. I was grateful I did not test over water like originally planned or my drone would have gone swimming.
Using a Phantom 4 Pro V2 I had to delete the “Drone Low Battery Warning” command from these settings to fly the mission, even though my battery was fully charged.
Additionally I had issues with the JPG raw format setting in the Hyperlapse Repository, and the photo interval settings. Not sure why? Possibly the settings I selected are not compatible with the standard drone settings.
I was unable to make smooth transitions between waypoints with points of interest and waypoints with drone heading or other points of interest. Tried with both curved and straight line Interpolation settings. Unsure the reason this didn’t work, if the drone was too fast, path too short, or angles to large. Need to experiment a bit more with this. Likely user error.
I’ve only tried with the Phantom 4 Pro V2. Hoping they add support for the Mavic Air 2. Overall pleased with the app, and keen to experiment more with it.
