  • Excellent studies/Work in progress

I love the studies in this app. They are in-depth and allow for great discussion and discovery. In addition, the notes and the lectures really cater to the different ways everyone learns. This is a great way to understand God’s word though the teachings of the Bible.

The app itself takes some getting used to. The navigating can sometimes be glitchy and inconvenient. Also, as I can figure this app is only for the phone. This is becoming a barrier for some of my older family members who already are not used to technology. If possible, making this app tablet capable will make it a little better. Also, there is no way to print out information (though that might be by design).

All in all I enjoy this app. We will be starting our third study in 1 and 2 Thes next Monday. Thanks for giving us another way to know God’s word.

  • High quality studies, rough UI

Love the quality of the Bible study. But always the first question of a new day doesn’t show within the Questions tab of that day. I’m forced to click on the calendar icon and see a full list of all questions. Very inefficient and annoying.

In general the UI is a little confusing. Why is the weekly lecture on top if it’s meant as the last thing to do before group study? Why are questions missing from the individual days? Why can only the leader add and edit the prayer requests text box? It would be easier if all group members could write and enter things.

  • God’s Word on the move

I’m so thankful to The Lord for leading me to WordGo! This app is a fantastic tool for year around study and sharing of God’s Word. WordGo is leading the way in providing prayer time, “bite sized” Scripture passages, thoughtful and heartfelt questions, enlightening notes, superior lectures that are clear and convicting, and weekly “icing on the cake” in sharing with others. All these parts are working to fulfill the Great Commission of Our Lord to Go and make disciples, bringing the seeking heart face to Face with Jesus. Thanks again in all your efforts for God’s Kingdom. Marguerite

  • Great Content - Clunky App

Having been a member of a BSF class for 20 years I am so excited that the approach and great teaching is available to anyone who wants to study God’s word in a small group. If you are looking for great teaching, and questions that go beyond the surface of scripture passages look no further.

However, the App is clunky (especially on iPad) it only works in portrait mode and there is no way to see the scripture passage and questions at the same time, I have to keep going back and forth, or grab my physical Bible. It also doesn’t have the ability to highlight the notes that come with the daily study, which makes it hard for me to refer back to them during our discussions.

I would still highly recommend it, but long for the app to be made more user friendly.

Hi karasidebyside, thanks for your review and feedback. I’m glad you’re enjoying WordGo. We are always working to improve the app and will keep these suggestions in mind. Keep your eyes peeled for some exciting updates 🥳
  • Still a little rough

Great way to bring the word home. I love that the notes are right there to read daily. I wish that the scripture notations in the questions would be a link or listed in the daily reading so I wouldn’t have to open another app or go find my bible. I would love to highlight the notes. As a group leader I have no idea what is sent to my invitees and if I need to make other contact with them to encourage them to come...I sent myself an invite at another email address...which I haven’t looked at yet.

  • Not clear how to start with just personal study rather than a group

I wanted to use this for personal study. Have gratefully completed all the current class studies (several times) but am currently in lockdown.
The ap doesn’t give an option to do this.

Hi rmv20, thanks for your review and feedback. WordGo is designed to facilitate Group Bible Study but we know some may use it as a solo study as well. There’s some helpful info around how to lead a group virtually on the WordGo blog at runwordgo.org/gather-online?rq=virtual
  • Can’t log on or do anything

I tried setting up a group initially as I couldn’t remember if I had previously set up an account. When I tried, I was informed that my email is already was already registered.

With this, I went and tried logging in, resetting the password before, and the load circle on the login button just spun and then stopped, not progressing.

Reset my password again, deleted the account then re downloaded it, same thing. I would love to be able to get on and actually see the app, but for now this hasn’t been an enjoyable experience, and it seems like from other comments that I am not alone on this issue.

  • Doesn’t recognize my account

Loved the app until it locked me out and said it doesn’t recognize my credentials. It seems to have lost all my work in the study and wants me to create a new account. I had my password saved so I am confused about why it kicked me out. If they find my credentials and open up my account again I guess I will change my review but until then this is very frustrating!!! I couldn’t do my study very well with the rest of my group last night and I don’t have access to it for next week.

  • Wow! Great way to connect with friends and God!

When the CoronaVirus hit, there were about 9 of us from different cities (and states) who wanted to connect to each other and to the Bible to seek help and guidance during this time of isolation and loneliness. I had heard of WordGo and wanted to try it. I appreciate how the app dine tunes it for you—how many days you want to study, trainings for the host, answers to questions, reminders on your phone to study (if you choose). We started with the 4 week Ruth study and it was amazing how applicable it is to what’s going on in the world right now. We also appreciated the podcast/lecture as well as the notes.
One of the women in the group liked it so much she is going to start another group using it too.
    Well done WORDGO.
