Hello there! We are really sorry to hear our app didn't meet your expectations. As you already mentioned, the quality of the transcript pretty much depends on the quality of the audio. This is highly affected by multiple factors. To increase accuracy, we always recommend speaking directly to the microphone, recording directly with Transcriber if possible, speaking to the bottom part of iPhone/iPad when recording and especially reducing background noises. Once the negative factors add up, the quality can be significantly decreased. Please contact our customer support who will be able to look into this further. Thanks a lot!
Absolute waste of money

Hello Amanda! We are sorry to hear you had a negative experience with Transcriber. Once you order a transcription, it can take maximum 2.5x the length of the recording to receive the transcription. For example, 1-hour recording will take up to 2.5 hours but usually, it takes much less. Please message our customer support one more time and I will personally look into this for you. Thanks!

This is the reason why we strongly recommend avoiding any external interfering elements. Unfortunately, there are still several more factors that might invalidate the recorded input such as accents and dialects. Transcriber also offers 10 minutes of transcription for free, we believe that our users can decide whether the service meets their needs before paying for it.

Sometimes even that is not enough because of accents and dialects used in the recording.
